Product Manager - Inventory Intelligence/ML Platforms

Job summary

Quantbot in Bengaluru is seeking a product manager to lead ML-driven supply chain initiatives. You will work with Data Science, MLOps, and Warehouse Operations to translate model outputs into actionable decisions that improve stock availability and working capital efficiency.

You will drive data-intensive PM practices, write rigorous ML contracts, and leverage Agile delivery to ship high-velocity retail solutions.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of product management experience.
• At least 2 years of experience working on data-intensive or ML-powered products.
• Demonstrated understanding of time-series forecasting.
• Ability to explain why a model over-forecasts on a new SKU and identify features that could improve it.
• Ability to read and critique ML model outputs.
• Understanding of MAE, RMSE, MAPE, WMAPE, confidence intervals, and feature importance.
• Strong SQL skills with experience querying large event-level tables.
• Experience writing rigorous PRDs that specify ML model contracts, including input features, output schema, latency SLAs, and fallback behaviour.
• Proficiency with Agile/Scrum delivery.
• Strong analytical and data-driven approach.
• Prior experience in quick commerce, food delivery, or high-velocity retail.
• Understanding of supply chain fundamentals such as EOQ, safety stock, service-level targets, and fill rate vs. inventory cost trade-offs.
