Role Overview

An Associate Product Manager (AI/ML) supports the development of AI-powered products and features. This role involves working closely with data scientists, engineers, and business teams to define use cases, shape product strategy, and ensure AI solutions deliver real user value.

Unlike traditional APM roles, this one requires a basic understanding of AI/ML concepts and their practical applications.

Key Responsibilities

1. AI Product Development

• Assist in defining AI/ML-powered features and product roadmaps
• Translate business problems into AI-driven solutions
• Write clear product requirement documents (PRDs) for AI features

2. Data & Model Understanding

• Work with data scientists to understand models, datasets, and limitations
• Help define success metrics (accuracy, precision, recall, etc.)
• Participate in model evaluation and iteration cycles

3. User & Use Case Discovery

• Identify high-impact AI use cases through research
• Gather user feedback and validate product ideas
• Balance feasibility, impact, and ethical considerations

4. Cross-functional Collaboration

• Collaborate with ML engineers, backend/frontend teams, and designers
• Align stakeholders across technical and business teams

5. Product Execution

• Track feature development and model iterations
• Manage timelines, releases, and dependencies
• Ensure smooth deployment of AI features
