Job description

About The Company

Founders today are building global companies from day one — but the systems that manage their money were built for a different era. Aspire exists to change that!

We’re building the financial operating system for global founders, bringing banking, software, and automation into a single platform so businesses can move faster across borders and stay focused on building.

Aspire is built by people who think from first principles, care deeply about solving hard problems, and take real ownership of their work. Our team brings global experience from leading fintech and technology companies, and many of us are former founders and operators who understand what it takes to build thoughtfully, make trade-offs, and deliver at scale in a global environment.

Backed by leading global investors including Y Combinator, Peak XV, and Lightspeed, Aspire has been trusted by more than 50,000 startups and growing businesses worldwide to manage their finances since 2018. Together with partners like J.P. Morgan, Visa, and Wise, we’re building for the next generation of global companies.

About The Team

Aspire is building the all-in-one finance operating system for the next generation of entrepreneurs, powering high‑growth companies with integrated cards, cross‑border payments, and automated spend management in one platform.

The Spend team owns all of the software at Aspire that makes finance management easier for CFOs and their teams. That includes expense management through claims, card transaction management, and accounts payable through bills and procurement. We're a lean team of 2 PMs and 6 engineers, working closely with Design, Sales, Commercial, and Operations to ship products businesses use every day.

About The Role

We're hiring a Senior Product Manager to own Aspire's expense products within Spend Management. This is a full‑stack product role: you'll need strong product judgment, hands‑on design skills, and a natural curiosity about customer pain points. You'll define, scale, and operate a reliable expense management platform that organisations depend on. You will be expected to:

  • Own end‑to‑end product development for expense products, from discovery and design through build, launch, and implementation
  • Design hands‑on, taking features from problem framing to high‑fidelity flows within Aspire's design system
  • Manage the expense roadmap and feature request backlog, prioritising against customer impact and business goals
  • Own quality and health metrics for expense products, including adoption, usage, and reliability, and act on what they show
  • Partner with Engineering on build and technical trade‑offs, and with Sales and Commercial teams to position and sell expense products effectively
  • Speak with customers regularly, from finance leaders to employees submitting claims, and turn what you learn into product
What You'll Achieve In Your First 6 Months
  • Deliver the full launch of expense policies and onboard new clients onto it by the end of the year
  • Increase the visibility of expense products and improve adoption metrics
  • Identify gaps and propose the 2027 expense roadmap
Why This Role

Expense management is the heart of Aspire's software offering, with the highest usage after our core transactions products. Businesses have a real problem managing expenses efficiently, and this role lets you build features that solve it and see them used in real time. If you enjoy problem solving and bringing fresh solutions to familiar problems, this is a very rewarding role.

Minimum Qualifications
  • 3+ years of product management experience as a full‑stack PM, ideally building consumer‑facing products
  • Background in fintech, design‑led, or e‑commerce companies
  • Hands‑on design expertise, including comfort working with design systems and producing flows yourself
  • Strong project management skills, with a track record of shipping on time across Engineering, Design, and go‑to‑market teams
  • Working understanding of finance management concepts such as expenses, approvals, and reimbursements
  • Advanced AI skills: you use AI tools (e.g. Claude Code, n8n) to build and ship internal products, not just to write documents
  • Genuine customer curiosity and the ability to turn ambiguous problems into clear product decisions
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5-6 years of product management experience
  • Experience building fintech products, especially spend management, expense, or payments
  • Exposure to crypto or digital assets
  • Experience in a high‑growth startup environment
