Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years’ experience within a Product Development Team.
• Construction Equipment product background is mandatory.
• Minimum Two years’ experience in project management.
• Maintaining complex and flexible development plans.
• Electronic and electrical troubleshooting and diagnostics experience.
• Mechanical and hydraulic troubleshooting and diagnostics or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain robust validation plans (IVP) for the global product line.
• Coordinate with Product Engineering, Design Analysis and PV Operations Manager to define validation requirements and risk mitigation.
• Lead timely execution of validation plans on budget; provide status reporting to stakeholders.
• Represent Product Validation in Core Team, Milestones, DFMEAs and Design Reviews to identify technical risks.
• Identify opportunities to early-recognize in-process or post-process failures during risk assessment.
• Support and drive efficient problem resolution with clear identification of failure modes and root causes.
• Communicate and integrate competitive equipment knowledge to align validation methods with industry standards.

Job Purpose

The function of the PLPV is to develop, coordinate, and track the execution of the integrated validation plan (IVP) supporting the product development process for the global product line.

Responsible for developing and managing the IVP for new programs as well as current product and quality objective projects. This requires collaborating with Product Engineering, Design Analysis and PV Operations Manager to understand technical risks, define validation requirements, build robust validation plans and coordinate the team to stay on plan to maintain timing, budget and quality of the product at launch.

Key Responsibilities

• Full robust vehicle validation plans (IVP), which include Virtual Validation, Physical Testing, Customer Testing and Supplier Testing.
• Execution of Validation plans on time and on budget. Timely and transparent reporting of plan status.
• Engaged Representation of Product Validation in Core Team, Milestones, DFMEAs and Design Reviews as appropriate to identify and mitigate technical risks via most appropriate method.
• Support and Identification of opportunities to drive early recognition of in-process or post-process failures during risk assessment, DFMEA, Design reviews.
• Quality product launches without late issue discovery.
• Appropriate engagement to support team in the improved efficiency of problem resolution including Proper identification of failure modes, root cause analysis, suggested fixes and validation of solutions.
• Appropriate and efficient use of our internal communication tools in support of groups and internal customers to meet team objectives.
• Appropriate communication and integration of competitive equipment knowledge to ensure validation methods align.

Experience Required

• Minimum 8 years’ experience within a Product Development Team
• Construction Equipment product background is mandatory.
• Minimum Two years’ experience in project management
• Maintaining complex and flexible development plans
• Electronic and electrical troubleshooting and diagnostics experience.
• Mechanical and hydraulic troubleshooting and diagnostics or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

Degree in BE/B.Tech Mechanical/Automobile, master’s in engineering with product development / Validation stream specialization.
