• 5–7 years’ experience in environmental compliance
• Excellent written and oral communication (MANDATORY)
• Knowledge of RoHS, REACh, PFAS, Prop 65 regulations
• Handle multiple customer requirements and train suppliers on regulations

Responsibilities

• Collect, analyze and archive component data for Environmental Compliance.
• Coordinate with customers, suppliers and internal teams on regulatory tasks.
• Provide supplier training on environmental requirements.
• Support audits and regulatory reviews (internal and external).
• Assist in process improvements and act as PM backup when needed.

Job description

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, were looking to add an Engineer / Sr. Engineer Product Environmental compliance in Chennai, India.

What a typical day looks like.

• Excellent communication skills. (Oral & written)
• Ability to work with Customers/Suppliers in different countries.
• Coordinating with Multiple teams on Environmental Compliance activities.
• Collaboration with the Team
• Responsible for Collection, analysis & archival of the component information related to Environmental Compliance through Compliance Map tool
• Adhere to the process without any deviations
• Working with Multiple customers or supplier for different Environmental Regulatory requirements like RoHS, Reach, Prop 65, PFAS, etc
• Provide Training to suppliers on the Environmental Compliance requirements wherever required.
• Support organization in regulatory compliance/ internal/third party audits.
• Handling the regulation changes in Compliance tool & forecast the risk of the affected parts for the Product Environment Compliance team to alert the site.
• Responsible in SOP/SOW or process documents and have it updated on required frequency.
• Provide Technical Training to Team members or new joiners.
• Able to review customer specific requirement and support.
• Support in UAT, Process documentations Software testing.
• Support External and internal Audit (including PMT Audits)
• Support team in process improvements
• Act as a backup for PMs in day-to-day operations
• Handling site queries/escalations/team
• Have good collaboration with all stake holders (IT, Supply Chain, Training etc)
• Support in preparing Weekly/Monthly/ QBR Metrics.
• Review the supplier documents and load the data in the compliance tool and cascade the status to site.
• Any Non- Compliant parts to be communicated to site
• Risk Assessment of supplier parts based on commodity
• Ability to think critically and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
• Manage to prioritize activities depending on the need
• Helps team in delegating tasks and Guide team to make effective decisions.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• B.E / B.Tech (Chemical\ EEE\ ECE\Mechanical) MSc Electronics/Chemistry/Environmental Science
  (5 – 7 years’ experience).
• Good Analytical and Problem-solving skills
• Have knowledge in automation understanding of RPA, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning
• Knowledge of electrical and electronic components.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills MANDATORY.
• Knowledge of environment regulations like RoHS, REACh, PFAS, Prop 65 etc
• Should be able to handle multiple customer requirements
• Manage to contact multiple suppliers, Train them on regulation, Review supplier documents
• Ability to manage multiple projects at any given time.
