The Product Engineer will be knowledgeable of the basic processes and facilitate other engineers at the site. This individual is also responsible for the implementation, support, training, and troubleshooting for the process being assigned in their facility. This position is assigned to an individual who has good hands‑on experience with the product and process, and already be considered to be a key person of the process. Perform as a technical leader across disciplines and or technologies and assist management in meeting our strategic initiatives. They will drive the proficiency within the team, assure best practices are followed and support the delivery of quality solutions. Under supervision of higher‑level peers, manages the verification of lower‑complexity products and projects, and assists in high‑complexity projects. Participates in the verification of various new products by qualifying new products and related design collaborate with cross‑functional teams including product managers, designers, and engineers to conceptualize, design, and develop new products or enhance existing ones. Your focus will be on ensuring that the product meets customer needs, market demands, and quality standards. Work closely with manufacturing teams to optimize product designs for manufacturability, scalability, and cost‑effectiveness. Identify opportunities for process improvements and collaborate on design modifications to streamline production and reduce manufacturing costs. The Product Engineer is responsible for ensuring excellence on the assigned manufacturing process, as determined by the Manufacturing Engineering Manager. This individual will provide expert advice when there is urgent need due to high defect rates and ensure that the process is well in control and delivering the highest possible yields. This position is assigned to an individual who has the profile to understand the scope of all the manufacturing chain process and the implications of each change and be considered to be a leader within the engineering team.
Knowledge of Jabil operating policies and procedures required.
Knowledge and experience of supply chain and engineering in manufacturing environment.
Demonstrated Hands‑on experience in the required process.
Knowledge in Basic Statistics and knowledge of carrying a DOE is a plus.
Understanding of DFM/A, FMEA and IPC requirements.
Able to write technical reports for the Site.
Proven proficiency across multiple disciplines and or technologies.
Fluent in business processes and best practices.
Advanced electronics skills related to computer hardware.
Advanced design and architecture experience.
In‑circuit and functional test experience.
Experience architecting test fixtures.
Experience managing NPI processes.
BOM management experience, preferred.
Experience in automated manufacturing environments, preferred.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Advanced Diploma, Bachelor or Master in appropriate fields.
8 to 10 years work‑related experience in the EMS or equivalent industry.
Or an equivalent combination of education, training or experience.
