Software Reliability Engineers at Esri are responsible for ensuring that the ArcGIS Enterprise product is reliable, highly available, and equipped with robust disaster recovery features.
They gather user requirements, define them for the team, evaluate the product, and guide users through documentation, videos, and presentations.
Responsibilities:

  • Gather software reliability and availability requirements directly from users and indirectly from other Esri staff in Support and Professional Services.
  • Lead cross-team efforts to develop and implement reliability features across all functionalities.
  • Create and automate test plans, evaluate test results, and ensure defect resolution.
  • Communicate effectively with users through documentation and presentations.

Requirements:
  • 2 to 6 years of experience in operational responsibilities such as monitoring, maintaining, and deploying enterprise software.
  • Experience in software testing.
  • Fundamental understanding of web services, such as REST.
  • Proven problem-solving skills in complex backend-server stacks, preferably with ArcGIS Enterprise.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, applications, math, GIS, geography, or related field.
  • Existing work authorization for India.

Recommended Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in engineering, computer science, applications, math, GIS, geography, or related field.
  • Experience administering ArcGIS Enterprise is preferred.
  • Experience working on a development team is preferred.
