Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate development and launch of new products & line extension projects.
• Work closely with internal (Sales, Operations, Quality and Research) and external (Customers & vendors) teams to ensure products align with customer requirements.
• Establish & manage project schedules and timelines, cost estimates of product & project; prepare budget plans for management approval.
• Coordinate with the manufacturing team to ensure smooth product handoffs and transitions into production.
• Develop process flow and capacity review with process engineering & operation teams.
• Develop and oversee prototype sample builds and validate design concepts.
• Create product specifications, test plans, bills of materials and other engineering documentation.
• Assist in developing new suppliers and material qualifications for launch of new products.

Consults with senior engineers concerning design specifications, manufacturing processes, and legal, safety, and government requirements. Formulates engineering conclusions by applying engineering or mathematical principles. Prepares preliminary and alternative sketches of possible design specifications or modifications.
