Job summary

Filtrex Technologies Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a learning-oriented engineer for a design and development role in Karnataka.

You will assist in creating design specifications for complex components and systems under supervision, consult with senior engineers on manufacturing processes, and prepare sketches for potential specifications or modifications. Ideal candidates have 2–4 years in product development with strong technical and communication skills, data-driven mindset, and familiarity with MS

• Knowledge & Experience of water filtration systems / industry- an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate development and launch of new products & line extension projects.
• Work closely with internal (Sales, Operations, Quality and Research) and external (Customer's & vendor's) teams to ensure products align with customer requirements.
• Establish & manage project schedules and timelines, cost estimates of product & project. Prepare budget plans for management approval.
• Coordinate with the manufacturing team to ensure smooth product handoffs and transitions into production.
• Work with process Engineering & operation team to develop process flow and operational needs, setting up product lines and capacity review
• Develop and oversee prototype sample builds & validate design concepts. Develop and coordinate test requirements and validations with QA team, internal & external analytical labs as required.
• Create product specifications, test plan, bills of materials and other engineering documentation
• Assist in developing new suppliers, qualifications of materials and material planning for launch of new products
• Recommend and implement product improvements to enhance performance, reduce cost, and productivity. Lead continuous improvement projects as assigned.
• Participate in technical discussions with customers, provide timely project updates to customers and internal stakeholders

Under close supervision, assists in the creation of design specifications for a limited variety of complex components and/or systems. Consults with senior engineers concerning design specifications, manufacturing processes, and legal, safety, and government requirements. Formulates engineering conclusions by applying engineering or mathematical principles. Prepares preliminary and alternative sketches of possible design specifications or modifications. Learning role with 2 to 4 years of experience.
