Job summary

WhatsApp India is seeking a senior Product Designer to shape the next phase of our product experience. You will own design strategy across complex software, work with cross-functional partners, and mentor teammates to raise the craft of execution.

You’ll influence product goals, present concepts to senior leadership, and drive high-impact initiatives while elevating user-centric design across global platforms.

Qualifications

• 8+ years designing complex software products with a focus on user experience, interaction, and visual design that meet business objectives.
• 8+ years of strategic product thinking with experience developing product goals, identifying opportunities in a global market, and making decisions based on the impact to people and the company.
• Experience representing work to senior executives, clearly and succinctly articulating the goals and concepts.

The newly established WhatsApp Services team is focused on making WhatsApp more useful for more of what people already use it for, and on building what comes next.As a product designer at Meta, you'll have the opportunity to play a central role in the way we build technologies — ensuring they are valuable, easy to use and of the highest level of craft and execution. You'll be involved in every aspect of the product development process, from brainstorming the next great product innovation to tweaking pixels right before launch. We'll expect you to utilize your full range of product design, interaction design and visual design skills, while contributing to high-level strategic decisions with product and executive partners.

Product Designer — WhatsApp India Responsibilities:

• 8+ years designing complex software products with a focus on user experience, interaction, and visual design that meet business objectives
• 8+ years of strategic product thinking with experience developing product goals, identifying opportunities in a global market, and making decisions based on the impact to people and the company
• Experience representing work to senior executives, clearly and succinctly articulating the goals and concepts

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with cross-functional executive stakeholders
• Experience leading design strategy for large-scale consumer products
• Experience showcasing your end to end design process across multiple projects, that include interaction and visual design artifacts, multiple iterations, high-fidelity prototypes, and consideration of the impact and scale of work
• Experience connecting your work with other industry-leading related initiatives across the company while driving collaboration
• Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or a related field
