Job summary

Responsibilities

• Translate complex workflows into intuitive user journeys, information architecture, wireframes, prototypes, and implementation-ready designs.
• Own design projects from exploration through review, engineering collaboration, implementation, and launch.
• Independently make design decisions within the assigned product area with limited supervision.
• Design for real-world scenarios including incomplete information, errors, and edge cases.
• Create experiences that help users understand information, navigate workflows, and make confident decisions.
• Conduct customer conversations and usability testing to validate design solutions.
• Leverage product analytics and feedback to continuously improve user experiences.
• Contribute to the evolution of the design system while maintaining consistency across the product.
• Balance usability, visual quality, business priorities, technical constraints, and delivery timelines.
• Communicate design rationale and progress to cross-functional teams.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure successful implementation and share feedback with junior designers.

We are looking for a hands-on Product Designer II to take ownership of a defined product area and drive medium-complexity design challenges from discovery through implementation and launch. You will work closely with product managers and engineering teams, make independent design decisions within your scope, and continuously improve user experiences through customer feedback, usability research, and product data.

The role involves designing intuitive experiences for a diverse set of users, including analysts reviewing flagged cases, managers configuring verification rules, businesses completing onboarding, and forward-deployed engineers supporting customer workflows.

This is an individual-contributor opportunity focused on design ownership, execution, craft, and customer impact rather than people or design management.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate complex workflows and information into intuitive user journeys, information architecture, wireframes, prototypes, and implementation-ready designs.
• Own design projects from initial exploration and problem discovery through design reviews, engineering collaboration, implementation, and launch.
• Independently make design decisions within the assigned product area while requiring limited day-to-day supervision.
• Design for real-world scenarios beyond the ideal user journey, including incomplete information, errors, exceptions, and edge cases.
• Create experiences that help users understand information, navigate complex workflows, and make confident decisions.
• Conduct customer conversations and usability testing to understand user needs, identify pain points, and validate design solutions.
• Leverage product analytics and customer feedback to evaluate design effectiveness and continuously improve user experiences.
• Apply and contribute to the evolution of the design system while maintaining consistency across the product.
• Balance usability, visual quality, business priorities, technical constraints, and delivery timelines.
• Clearly communicate design rationale, project progress, and decisions to product, engineering, and customer-facing teams.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure successful implementation of design solutions.
• Support junior designers through design reviews, feedback, and collaborative working sessions.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of full-time, in-house product design experience.
• Contract, freelance, and agency experience will not count toward the minimum experience requirement. Internships are excluded.
• Demonstrated experience designing and shipping real product features and workflows.
• Strong understanding of interaction design, information architecture, visual design, and prototyping.
• Ability to simplify complex workflows and data-heavy interfaces into clear, intuitive user experiences.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating problem framing, research, design exploration, alternatives considered, decision-making, trade-offs, and implementation outcomes.
• Excellent attention to detail, particularly when designing edge cases and complex interaction states.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with product managers, engineers, and customer-facing teams.
• Comfortable working independently, taking ownership, and adapting to changing priorities.
• Availability to work onsite in Bengaluru.

Direct compliance-domain expertise is beneficial, but strong transferable product-design judgment and the ability to simplify complex user experiences are equally valuable.
