Position Summary

Perforce is looking for a talented Product Designer to join our growing team in Belfast. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about crafting user-centered designs that enhance product usability, improve technical workflows, and contribute to mission-critical solutions relied upon by leading global enterprises.

You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams—including engineers, product managers, researchers, and marketers—to transform complex requirements into elegant, intuitive design solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate business and user requirements into intuitive, elegant user experiences, from early concept to final design implementation.
• Collaborate with User Research to gain insights and validate design decisions through usability testing and stakeholder feedback.
• Participate in and analyze findings from research and usability sessions to continually iterate and improve product design.
• Present your design ideas and rationale effectively to peers and stakeholders, incorporating feedback with an open mind.
• Create and maintain design artifacts including wireframes, workflow diagrams, interaction models, and high-fidelity prototypes.
• Partner with design peers to ensure a consistent visual language and cohesive UX across the product ecosystem.
• Ensure designs align with brand identity, accessibility standards, and performance goals.
• Contribute to improving design systems, tooling, and overall process maturity.
• Support multiple product lines or brands within Perforce as needed.

Requirements

• Minimum 3+ years of experience in digital product design or UX/UI design.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent certification in Design, Human‑Computer Interaction, UX, or a related field.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating:
• User-centered problem‑solving
• Workflow optimization
• Proficiency in visual and interaction design
• Comfortable working on technical, developer‑focused products (DevOps familiarity is a plus; curiosity and willingness to learn are musts).
• Experience collaborating with cross‑functional teams in an Agile/Lean product development environment.
• Excellent attention to detail—visually, interactively, and editorially.
• Clear communication skills with the ability to present and justify design decisions confidently.
• Motivation to grow professionally, continuously learn, and take ownership of your work.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with design systems, accessibility guidelines, or developer tooling
• Proficiency in tools like Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or InVision
• Experience designing enterprise or B2B SaaS applications
