Position Summary

We are seeking a Principal DevOps Engineer to lead the development and implementation of next-generation cloud infrastructure and CI/CD automation platforms for Perforce’s SaaS product suite. This is a senior technical leadership position that requires deep cloud engineering knowledge, hands‑on development expertise, and a strong passion for driving DevOps culture and platform scalability.

In this role, you’ll influence design principles, mentor engineers, drive best practices, and build tools that ensure the security, reliability, and performance of production systems and pipelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and implement cloud-native infrastructure platforms that are scalable, reliable, and secure across production and non-production environments.
• Develop and maintain frameworks to support automated infrastructure provisioning, configuration, deployment, and monitoring.
• Drive adoption of DevOps principles across the organization, promoting continuous integration, automated testing, and smooth delivery workflows.
• Lead the enhancement and scalability of CI/CD pipeline tools and processes.
• Collaborate with security and development teams to embed application security best practices into the agile SDLC.
• Establish and advocate for operational design principles in the software development lifecycle.
• Mentor engineering teams on DevOps practices, cloud technologies, and infrastructure architecture.
• Serve as the technical lead for cross‑functional platform initiatives and infrastructure modernization efforts.
• Engage in platform troubleshooting, capacity planning, and cloud cost optimization.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 15+ years of overall industry experience, including 12+ years in cloud operations, DevOps, or SaaS environments.
• Hands‑on expertise in:
• Cloud services: AWS (preferred), GCP – including Compute, Networking, Security, Databases, and Observability
• Container orchestration: Kubernetes, Docker
• Programming languages: Python, Go, Java, Ruby
• Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, CloudFormation, Serverless Framework, Puppet, ARM templates
• Deep experience in CI/CD automation tools and scalable pipeline design (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, TeamCity).
• Practical knowledge of DevSecOps and secure SDLC practices.
• Strong understanding of cloud‑native web application architecture and deployment models.
• Proven success mentoring DevOps teams and enabling high‑velocity software delivery.

Nice to Have

• Certifications in AWS or GCP Cloud Architecture
• Experience with multi‑cloud or hybrid infrastructure setups
• Familiarity with observability stacks (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, ELK)
• Exposure to serverless platforms or microservices design patterns
