Job summary

FLSmidth Pvt Ltd in Chennai seeks a Senior Product Configuration Engineer to design and optimize product models using Tacton Configurator Studio and SolidWorks. You will map models with Tacton DA for SolidWorks, create CAD drawings, and estimate drafting hours while ensuring compliance with design automation guidelines.

Qualifications

• 6 to 8 years of hands-on experience in part modelling, assembly and drawings (SolidWorks mandatory).
• Hands-on experience in configurations & design tables.
• Knowledge of Tacton design automation is a plus.
• Good knowledge of SolidWorks API and Enovia workflows.

Senior Product Configuration Engineer

Create a better future! As a Product Configuration Engineer , you will be an individual contributor working with a team of people who support the design automation across Mining products in the areas of Proposal, Pricing documents, along with product optimisation . By joining this team, you will have the opportunity to work in an international environment with a variety of challenges .

Responsibilities

• You will be responsible for designing & developing product models in Tacton Configurator Studio
• Mapping the product models using Tacton Design Automation for SolidWorks.
• You will be responsible for Modeling & Detailing in SolidWorks.
• Analyse the work content and estimation of drafting hours required to complete the task with available inputs.
• Good understanding of CAD automation & prepare the 3D models & drawings based on the given product structure.
• Supports the maintenance and improvement of the existing Model & drawings from an automation perspective.
• Interact with team members for clarification of product design.
• Ensure compliance with specification requirements.
• Maintaining the BOM structure in Enovia.
• Maintain the productivity and efficiency of the team.
• Ensure error-free documentation with adherence to the guidelines defined on design automation.
• Ensure all the preliminary activities are covered in the model & drawings for design automation.
• Constantly improving technical skills and keeping updated on the latest developments in the design automation field.

Requirements

• 6 to 8 years of Hands-on experience in part modelling, assembly, and Drawings (Solidworks mandatory).
• Hands-on experience in Configurations & design tables.
• Hands-on experience in Autocad 2d drawings.
• Shall have good knowledge of design automation tools.
• Knowledge of Tacton design automation is a plus.
• knowledge in Solidworks API is a plus.
• Good knowledge of Machine design.
• Good interpersonal skills and communication.
• Good at estimating time and effort for a given task.
