This is a unique opportunity to partner with the Business to provide a comprehensive view. As a product associate, you will collaborate with model risk stakeholders and technology partners to design specifications of processes and technical solutions that support MRGR’s effective management of Model Risk, including tooling to support validation, inventory governance and reporting. You will work with technology & UI/UX teams to ensure development is budgeted, prioritized and implemented effectively, bringing your expertise to JPMorgan Chase. Model Risk Governance and Review (MRGR) is a global team of modeling experts within the firm’s Risk Management and Compliance organization. The team conducts independent model validation and model governance activities to identify, measure and mitigate model risk. The objective is to ensure models are fit for purpose, used appropriately within the business context for which they were approved, and that model users are aware of model limitations and potential business impact.
Within MRGR, the Chief Operating Officer (COO) supports model risk stakeholders in their review and governance activities, with responsibility for model risk policy, procedures and process engineering; product ownership and software development for model risk technology and analytics; execution of model risk governance processes, model risk committees and reporting; project management of the review and governance pipeline; and regulatory, audit and key capital stress testing exercises; as well as general business management.
