Job summary

Vanguard India seeks an experienced Senior Enterprise Architect to define roadmaps and lead scalable system design across advisory platforms. You will oversee SDLC, provide architecture governance, and mentor teams while aligning with business strategy and technology roadmaps.

You will collaborate with product owners, technology experts, and business leaders to shape API-first and event-driven patterns, drive architectural standards, and ensure cohesive user and technical experiences.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of related work experience with at least 3 years as a technology architect.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT or BCA; MBA preferred.
• Expertise in enterprise architecture, system integration, and scalable solution design.
• Must have: end-to-end Appian + AWS architecture experience; architectural governance.

Role Summary

This role works closely with product owners and teams to define roadmaps and architectures aligned with business strategies, while leading scalable system design, SDLC oversight, and architectural alignment across advisory platforms.

Responsibilities

• Owns the ongoing product roadmaps and architecture, according to business strategies and enterprise architecture.
• Collaborates with the broader architecture community to ensure that their products align with target architectures and technology roadmaps and provides input on required platform capabilities and improving development tools/processes.
• Works with other product teams, technology experts, and business stakeholders to provide functional support.
• Assists in the evaluation of vendors and products and participates in build vs. buy discussions with the product teams.
• Acts as highest-level technical expert, resolving issues, assessing any potential risks and identifying solutions.
• Provides technical guidance to product team(s) as appropriate.
• Performs feasibility analysis on potential future projects.
• Assists in the development of and management of architecture governance process(es).
• Tracks industry trends and maintains knowledge of new technologies.
• Prepares and presents product-related documentation.
• Mentors less experienced crew members and contributes to overall development of the organization.
• Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
• Leads the design and review of scalable system architectures, APIs, and data models tailored to the advisory platforms.
• Provides architectural oversight throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), ensuring consistent quality from ideation through deployment.
• Supports alignment and reuse of architecture across multiple products and platforms to ensure cohesive user and technical experiences.
• Partners with product managers to prioritize architectural features and address technical doubt.

Qualifications And Skills

• Minimum 8+ years of related work experience, with at least 3 years as a technology architect designing and implementing enterprise solutions.
• Bachelor’s degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Computer Science or IT, or Bachelor’s in Computer Applications (BCA) from a recognized institution. MBA degree preferred.
• Expertise in enterprise architecture, system integration, and scalable solution design across multiple platforms.
• Strong experience with Kore.AI, Azure and GCP is not required.
• Must Have: - Own and drive end-to-end Appian + AWS architecture across multiple teams; make cross-team design decisions.
• Must Have: - Appian Enterprise Expertise: Deep expertise in Appian (SAIL, process models, data fabric, integrations) and scalable BPM design.
• Must Have: - Cloud & Integration Architecture (AWS): Design API-first and event-driven architectures; build strong Appian and AWS integration patterns.
• Must Have: - Architecture Patterns & Governance: Define and enforce reusable standards, frameworks, and best practices across teams.
• Must Have: - Technical Leadership & Strategy: Act as design authority; mentor teams; translate business strategy into architecture roadmap.
• Experience with developing AWS AI models and governance is nice to have.
• Experience in Finance Domain is nice to have.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, working with product teams, technology experts, and business leaders.

This role is based in Hyderabad, Telangana at Vanguard’s India office. Only qualified external applicants will be considered.
