Job summary

Hitachi Energy in Savli, Gujarat seeks a Material Planner with SAP MM expertise to join the High Voltage team. You will monitor open purchase orders, coordinate deliveries and ensure material availability, while maintaining inventory levels and reporting progress to management.

The ideal candidate holds BE or Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical, 5–8 years of experience, strong Excel skills, and solid understanding of MRP/ERP systems.

Qualifications

• BE/Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical.

• Advance knowledge in SAP MM Module
• Highly proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint
• Thorough understanding of MRP/ERP systems, Materials Management standards & procedures; JIT principles (Kanban, pull system)
• Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required

Responsibilities

• Develop an efficient system for monitoring all open purchase orders.
• Deliver weekly PO report showing vendor invoice numbers for all closed purchase orders.
• Coordinate with inventory management team to ensure deliveries satisfy POs and report back-ordered/missing items.
• Assist in maintaining proper inventory levels of materials used regularly.
• Ensure timely material availability from Import and Local sources with required documents like Material TCs and Inspection report.
• Reduce stock obsolescence by ensuring correct quantity procurement.
• Follow Customer demand plan and material procurement strategy to plan long lead time items.
• Prepare a master tracking sheet for manufacturing plan and release real time material availability report.
• Handle CAPEX, Indirect and Consumable along with regular production parts.
