Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related discipline.
• 18–20 years of relevant procurement experience, with substantial mining industry background.
• Proven experience in procurement for mining operations, industrial projects, or large-scale resource operations.
• Strong knowledge of mining equipment, heavy machinery, spare parts, maintenance materials and operational supplies.
• Extensive experience in strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, contract management, and cost optimization.
• Ability to manage procurement requirements in remote or challenging operating environments.
• Experience working with international suppliers and cross-border procurement/logistics is an advantage.
• Strong commercial awareness, analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in procurement systems, ERP platforms and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies to support mining operations and business objectives.
• Manage the full procurement cycle, including sourcing, tendering, supplier evaluation, negotiations, purchase orders and contract administration.
• Oversee procurement of mining equipment, machinery, spare parts, maintenance materials, consumables and operational supplies.
• Identify and evaluate suppliers based on cost, quality, reliability and delivery performance.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, contracts and delivery schedules to achieve cost savings.
• Coordinate with mining operations, engineering, maintenance, logistics and warehouse teams to determine procurement requirements.
• Ensure timely delivery of critical equipment, spare parts and materials to minimize disruptions.
• Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues related to quality, delivery, pricing and contractual compliance.
• Manage procurement budgets, expenditure forecasts and cost-control initiatives.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with local and international suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, regulations and standards.
• Assess supply chain risks and develop contingency plans for shortages and delays.
• Lead and supervise procurement personnel and promote continuous improvement.
