Job summary

NowPurchase in India is seeking an experienced sourcing professional to drive CRC scrap procurement, supplier development, and commercial performance across assigned regions. The role focuses on scrap sourcing, market development, and auctions to ensure reliable supply and profitability.

You will build a robust supplier network, negotiate favorable terms, and lead cross-functional coordination with operations, finance, logistics, and quality teams to optimize procurement and margins.

Qualifications

• Experience in industrial scrap sourcing or metal recycling.
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Understanding of scrap markets, pricing trends and profitability.
• Ability to lead sourcing activities independently across teams.
• Experience with scrap auctions and large-volume procurement.

Responsibilities

• Drive strategic sourcing of CRC scrap including cold-rolled coils, mild steel, and aluminum scrap.
• Identify, evaluate, negotiate with, and onboard new vendors; build supplier network across regions.
• Manage scrap auctions; evaluate commercial feasibility and drive conversions.
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, and delivery terms; monitor market trends and margins.
• Coordinate with operations, finance, logistics, and quality teams for timely procurement and material movement.
• Monitor regional supply-demand dynamics and identify new sourcing opportunities for expansion.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced sourcing professional to drive scrap procurement, supplier development, and commercial performance across assigned regions. The role will focus on CRC scrap sourcing, market development, and scrap auctions, ensuring reliable supply, cost optimization, and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Sourcing: Drive Cold-Rolled coil, mild steel, and aluminum scrap sourcing across assigned regions, ensuring consistent material availability and cost-effective procurement.
• Supplier Development: Identify, evaluate, negotiate with, and onboard new vendors; build a reliable supplier network across assigned regions.
• Auction Management: Identify scrap auction opportunities, evaluate commercial feasibility, manage bidding, and drive successful conversions.
• Commercial Management: Negotiate pricing, contracts, and delivery terms while monitoring market trends, commodity prices, and net margin%
• Cross-Functional Coordination: Work with operations, finance, logistics, and quality teams to ensure timely procurement and smooth material movement.
• Market Intelligence: Track regional supply-demand dynamics, identify new sourcing opportunities, and recommend strategies for business expansion.

Skills & Experience We’re Looking For

• Experience in industrial scrap sourcing/procurement, or metal recycling.
• Strong negotiation, vendor management, and commercial acumen.
• Understanding of scrap markets, pricing trends, and procurement profitability.
• Ability to independently manage sourcing activities and coordinate across teams.
• Experience in scrap auctions and large-volume scrap procurement.
• Established supplier network across industrial markets.
• Knowledge of scrap-related compliance and regulations.
