Job summary

Axa Xl is seeking a data-driven Operational Reporting Analyst in Gurugram to manage data extraction, build dashboards, and prepare monthly and quarterly reports. You will coordinate with multiple stakeholders and ensure regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years in operational reporting, strong SQL/Excel skills, and a proactive approach to mastering reinsurance contract language. Flexibility for occasional extended hours is expected.

Qualifications

• Graduate/Post Graduate with 1-3 years of experience in operational reporting.
• An individual with a robust understanding of Reinsurance contract would be added advantage.
• Demonstrate self-motivation to understand Reinsurance contract language; capable of multi-tasking and prioritising.
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of SQL, MS Office tools like Excel & Access (Pivot, charts) is a must.
• Good interpersonal skills with planning, coordination, and regular status updates; execution oriented.
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Experience and pro-activity in recognising requirements and delivering quality service.

Responsibilities

• Manage data extraction and report running from various tools and databases (SQL, Databricks, MIS).
• Participate in projects and UAT to assess potential impacts on financial data.
• Analyze reinsurance contracts and translate data into reporting requirements; conduct analyses as needed.
• Develop dashboards by converting business specs into automated modules.
• Prepare monthly/quarterly reports (ceded recoveries, open claims, credit control).
• Collaborate with functions and manage multiple stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and system controls.
• Handle adhoc process queries and requests on a regular basis.
• Identify opportunities to streamline and improve processes.
• Maintain and update department manuals and process documentation.
• Act as a backup when team members are unavailable.

Job description

What will your essential responsibilities include?

• Manage the data extraction and report running out of various operational reporting tools and databases including SQL, Databricks, MIS, etc.
• Participate in projects and UAT as required to ensure that all potential impacts to financial data are identified and managed effectively.
• Detailed in depth analysis of reinsurance contracts, Interpret, and translate data to reporting requirements & conduct analysis where required.
• Develop dashboards by understanding Business specifications and translating them into automated modules wherever possible.
• Prepare the reports for monthly/ quarterly analysis like ceded reinsurance recoveries, Open claims, Credit Control, etc.
• Collaborate with in and across Funactions and manage multiple stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance towards all regulatory & system controls.
• Handling of adhoc queries related to the process on regular basis.
• Identify process improvements in streamline the process where possible.
• Collation and management of department procedure manuals and process documentation with timely update.
• Ensure to act as a backup in case of other team members unavailability.
