The role involves supervising operational efficiency, start-up support, troubleshooting, and leading continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring safety and environmental compliance across shifts.

Qualifications

• BE Chemical qualification with minimum 8 years of experience in process engineering.
• Experience in plant operations and shift management.
• Knowledge of energy conservation and energy optimization.

Responsibilities

• Enhance operational efficiency and energy conservation to boost productivity.
• Ensure optimum plant capacity utilization and review plant performance.
• Check critical operation parameters and report non-conformance.
• Assist in timely and smooth start-up of the plant and provide troubleshooting support.
• Identify and evaluate energy conservation schemes to reduce energy costs.
• Monitor project progress and de-bottleneck critical areas.
• Provide training on technical subjects and promote best industrial practices.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environment and statutory requirements.

ResponsibilitiesOperational efficiency

Monitor and analyse the process conditions to improve the operational efficiency and energy conservation to achieve higher productivity

• Ensure optimum plant capacity utilization.
• Critically review and analyse reasons for various Plant performance.
• Check critical parameters of the operations & report non-conformance.
• Support in timely and smooth start-up of the plant.
• Troubleshooting support for uninterrupted production.

Continuous Improvement and Project Support

Support process engineering team on innovation curve & improvement initiatives.

• Identify and evaluate the energy conservation schemes to reduce cost optimum Energy Consumption with proper operation of plant.
• Monitor the progress of projects and de-bottlenecking the critical areas.
• Impart training on various technical subjects
• Initiating and sustaining best industrial practices

System Management

Monitor adherence to compliance related to Safety, Environment & Sustainability

• Review audit reports and plan for improvement
• Monitor processes for accident free operations/ Maintenance and compliance of all safety requirements as stipulated by the Factories Act & environment related statutory requirements
• Monitor adherence to safety norms & safe operational procedures
• Support plant teams to attend emergencies during silent hours.
• Critical decision making during 2nd and 3d shifts.
• Work permit issuance for critical maintenance work during shift hours
