FinacPlus, a Great Place to Work certified organization, is hiring a Process Leader – Mortgage Accounting in India to support a global banking and mortgage client. The role emphasizes mortgage accounting, treasury operations, financial controls, reconciliations, and operational leadership.

As an embedded partner with finance, treasury, and operations teams, you will drive accuracy and governance, lead critical accounting functions, and mentor team members while delivering timely reconciliations

Qualifications

  • 5–7 years of experience in Mortgage Accounting, Banking Operations, Treasury Operations, or Financial Accounting.
  • Minimum 2 years of hands‑on experience with NetSuite ERP
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working with a bank, mortgage lender, or financial institution
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a Team Lead, Process Leader, Supervisory, or people management role
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in bank reconciliations and journal entry preparation
  • Strong understanding of mortgage accounting, treasury operations, financial controls, and reconciliation processes
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP-based financial systems

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and reconcile bank accounts and identify reconciling items with high accuracy.
  • Process and post remittance wire transactions following internal controls.
  • Record and reconcile mortgage repurchase transactions and related accounting activities.
  • Post BLN journal entries per accounting standards.
  • Process corporate credit card transactions with complete documentation.
  • Post interest float journal entries for timely financial reporting.
  • Execute intra-account transfers with proper approvals and controls.
  • Prepare, review, and post journal entries supporting mortgage accounting and treasury operations.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and established financial controls.
  • Investigate reconciliation differences and resolve exceptions efficiently.
  • Maintain audit-ready documentation for transactions and reconciliations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting workflows and controls.
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to team members.
  • Collaborate with internal finance, treasury, and business stakeholders for deliverables.

We are currently hiring a Process Leader – Mortgage Accounting with 5–7 years of experience to support a leading global banking and mortgage lending organization. This role offers strong exposure to mortgage accounting, treasury operations, financial controls, reconciliations, and operational leadership while providing the opportunity to lead critical accounting functions supporting global business operations.

As a Process Leader – Mortgage Accounting, you will serve as an embedded partner working closely with finance, treasury, and operational teams. You will not just execute accounting activities—you will drive financial accuracy, operational excellence, process governance, and continuous improvement while supporting leadership responsibilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Mortgage Accounting & Treasury Operations
  • You will prepare and reconcile bank accounts, ensuring timely identification, investigation, and resolution of reconciling items while maintaining the highest standards of financial accuracy.
  • You will process and post incoming and outgoing remittance wire transactions, ensuring compliance with internal controls and banking procedures.
  • You will accurately record and reconcile mortgage repurchase transactions and related accounting activities.
  • You will prepare and post BLN journal entries in accordance with accounting standards and organizational policies.
  • You will process and reconcile corporate credit card transactions while maintaining complete supporting documentation.
  • You will prepare and post interest float journal entries to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • You will execute intra-account transfers while ensuring proper approvals, documentation, and financial controls.
  • You will prepare, review, and post journal entries supporting mortgage accounting and treasury operations.
Financial Controls & Process Governance
  • You will ensure all accounting activities comply with internal policies, accounting standards, and established financial control procedures.
  • You will proactively investigate reconciliation differences and collaborate with stakeholders to resolve exceptions efficiently.
  • You will maintain complete audit-ready documentation supporting accounting transactions and reconciliations.
  • You will identify opportunities to improve accounting workflows, strengthen internal controls, and enhance operational efficiency.
Leadership & Stakeholder Management
  • You will provide day-to-day operational guidance and mentoring to team members while supporting a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
  • You will work closely with internal finance, treasury, and business stakeholders to ensure timely completion of critical accounting deliverables.
  • You will demonstrate ownership by proactively following up on outstanding activities, resolving operational challenges, and driving accountability across the team.
  • You will support leadership initiatives, process transitions, and continuous improvement projects to enhance overall business performance.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
  • 5–7 years of experience in Mortgage Accounting, Banking Operations, Treasury Operations, or Financial Accounting
