Job summary

Mondelēz International in India seeks a Process Lead for the Star 7 Marvel line to drive line performance, safety, quality and cost targets. You will lead the new line start-up, establish operating parameters, and build capability across operators and technicians.

You will implement IIM methodology, set KPI governance, develop budgets, and lead continuous improvement, loss elimination, and product quality initiatives to deliver sustainable results.

Qualifications

  • Experience with AM steps 1–6 and related maintenance standards.
  • Strong leadership in manufacturing/production operations.
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma, defect reduction and loss analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end performance against targets like SQCDSM, productivity, yield and service.
  • Translate targets into line, unit and individual objectives with robust daily management.
  • Lead safety, quality, cost control, and compliance initiatives and actions.
  • Drive continuous improvement using IL6s, Six Sigma, PDCA and Kaizen.
  • Manage budgets, cost savings and procurement of maintenance resources.
  • Develop line capability and lead ramp-up for Star 7 Marvel line.
  • Ensure data-driven decisions and governance of line KPIs.

This role helps ensure the sustained continuity of process expert and line leadership in manufacturing, by leading a key line of the business system or organizational process to deliver results defined by the compelling business need of the site. You ensure that key business results are achieved and for developing others to ensure the sustained continuity of process mastery on the manufacturing line.

This role helps ensure the sustained continuity of technical mastery and line leadership in manufacturing, by leading a key line of the business (technical, system or organizational) to deliver results defined by the compelling business need of the site. You ensure that key business results are achieved and for developing others to ensure the sustained continuity of technical mastery on the manufacturing line. Using a systematic approach, you use strategic thinking skills to ensure results are sustained over the long term.

How you will contribute

In your likely first managerial role, you will ensure that Mondelēz International’s safety, quality, cost, delivery, sustainability and morale targets are achieved for the new linesthrough IIM methodology for which you are responsible by breaking down section targets into line and unit targets and ensuring that employees understand their individual performance goals related to the overall targets. In this role, you will also develop budgets and be responsible for costs control management, governance and compliance, loss elimination and workforce planning, including recruitment, retention, development, succession planning, and the identification of high potential team members. Without you, we would not be able to deliver high-quality snacks to our customers.

  • Maintaining equipment at basic conditions independently, including the execution of AM ,QM and FI standards on dedicated equipment and area process.
  • Six Sigma including qualification of AM steps 1-6,

How You Will Contribute

1. Line Performance & Business Results

Own end-to-end performance of new Star 7 Line against SQCDSM/GE, productivity, yield and service targets through IIM process.

Translate site/business targets into clear line, unit and individual objectives.

Establish robust daily management system and performance governance systems.

Identify performance gaps and lead structured recovery plans.

Drive continuous improvement and ensure gains are sustained.

2. Safety & Food Safety

Demonstrate visible felt leadership and establish a strong zero-incident safety culture by owning one safety standard.

Ensure compliance with safety standards, LOTO, risk assessments, SWPs and critical controls.

Strengthen food safety, GMP and quality culture across the line.

Lead timely closure of safety and food-safety actions.

3. Loss Elimination & Continuous Improvement

Lead systematic identification and elimination of the Top Line Losses.

Use IL6s, Six Sigma, PDCA, RCA, Kaizen and structured problem-solving methodologies.

Improve GE/OEE, yield, changeover performance, process capability and equipment availability.

Ensure actions address systemic/root causes rather than short-term fixes.

Replicate successful improvements across other lines where applicable.

4. Quality & Process Excellence

Ensure consistent delivery of product quality and process standards.

Drive reduction of consumer complaints, internal defects, rework and process deviations.

Strengthen process controls and adherence to standard operating procedures.

Develop process capability and technical standards for the new Star 7 Marvel line.

Ensure successful product/SKU and technology transitions.

5. Cost & Budget Management

Own line-level cost performance and drive productivity improvements.

Develop and manage annual operating and maintenance budgets.

Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising safety, quality or reliability.

6.Ensure effective implementation of DMS, RTT/SWP, AM, GE and loss-tree governance.

Establish clear ownership for line KPIs and KAIs.

Ensure compliance with Mondelēz standards, policies and manufacturing systems.

Use data and digital tools to improve decision-making and line performance.

Establish strong routines for daily, weekly and monthly performance reviews.

7. New Line / Marvel Start-up Excellence

IIM Methodology implementation and Governance during Project implementations for Star 7

Building the operating model and line organization from the ground up.

Establishing technical standards, SOPs, SWPs and operating parameters.

Building operator and technician capability before and during ramp-up through TT&T work process

Driving commissioning, stabilization and performance ramp-up.

Ensuring smooth transition from project/start-up phase to sustainable operations.

Delivering agreed ramp-up milestones for Safety, Quality, GE, Yield, Cost and Volume.

Key experience and capabilities include:

  • Strong experience in manufacturing/production operations and line leadership.
  • Knowledge of IL6s, AM, PM and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Experience with AM Step 4 and progression toward Steps 5–6.
  • Experience with PM Step 3 and equipment reliability improvement.
  • Strong understanding of GE/OEE, loss analysis, MTBF and structured problem solving.
  • Ability to independently maintain and improve equipment basic conditions.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing safety, food safety, quality and compliance systems.
  • Experience in leading cross-functional teams and delivering business results.
  • Strong people-development, coaching and succession-planning capability.
  • Ability to influence and engage people in a unionized manufacturing environment.

Job specific requirements:Shell Moulding technology operation and maintenance hands-on experience including chocolate & Moulding line equipment knowledge.

Work schedule:5.5 Days working from Plant location (Sricity)
