Arcadis in India invites an Instrumentation & Controls Engineer to join our Global Excellence Centre. You will review P&IDs, develop instrument data, and coordinate with Process, Mechanical, and design teams on advanced I&C projects for life-science facilities.

With 4–8 years in I&C and automation design in process industries, preferably pharma, you will ensure QA/QC, prepare cable schedules, MTOs, and 2D/3D design reviews, while adhering to standards and delivering within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation or a related field.
• 4–8 years of I&C and automation design experience in process industries.
• pharma / life sciences experience preferred.
• Familiarity with instrumentation engineering norms and standards.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, MS Project).
• Strong technical and quality focus with good planning and communication.

Responsibilities

• Review P&IDs with Process and Mechanical Engineers.
• Develop Instrument Index, I/O List, and instrument data sheets.
• Coordinate I&C interfaces with other engineering disciplines.
• Review 2D/3D designs and ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Prepare cable schedules and MTO; support QA/QC on deliverables.

Our GEC is made up of more than 3,000 talented individuals working in offices across India, Romania, and Philippines, providing Capability, Capacity, and a Competitive Advantage across a wide array of unique projects and services, in collaboration with our global businesses.The Instrumentation & Controls Engineer specializes in the design, development, and inspecting of Instrumentation & Controls equipment, components, or systems for life-science, biopharmaceutical, and/or microelectronics/semiconductor facilities. Studies new technologies and research innovative solutions and product designs. The Instrumentation & Controls Engineer works on advanced, complex technical projects or business issues requiring state of the art technical or industry knowledge.Your role will include, but is not limited to:Review Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) in conjunction with Process and Mechanical Engineers.Develop Instrument Index, I/O List, Instrument and automated valve data sheets.Experience in technical bid evaluation, interaction with vendor and vendor drawings review.Interact and coordinate with interdisciplinary design team members to ensure efficient and effective I&C interfaces with other engineering disciplines.Review and guide designers for 2D and 3D design drawings in accordance with project requirements, codes, specifications, and procedures.Participate in multi-discipline coordination & clash checking efforts.Support by active participation, corporate and adhere to discipline-specific procedures and policies.Contribute to the development of the Discipline knowledge base and standards.Perform self QA/QC on deliverables, as well as on deliverables by other engineers.Performs the tasks within the agreed-upon budget and schedule.Should be a team player and perform task’s individually when required.Follow company standards and procedures including design and QA checking.Assist I&C lead engineer on various engineering deliverables and activities.Prepare Cable schedule, MTO. Guide designer in preparing Hook up, installation drawings, location and cable routing layouts etc.Experience in HVAC Instrumentation and control, Building management system (BMS), Qualified BMS.
