Our Consulting Delivery Hub (CDH) in India is a critical part of ERM’s global consulting model enabling scalable, high-quality delivery across regions and service lines. CDH teams work in close partnership with regional consultants to support global client projects, providing specialist expertise, driving consistency, and enhancing delivery efficiency across our most important programmes. As part of the Consulting Delivery Hub, you will collaborate with colleagues worldwide, contribute to complex sustainability projects, and play a key role in shaping the future of global consulting delivery.

Why this role matters?

As an Consultant Engineering, you will support ERM’s global consulting delivery by developing engineering designs for process remediation projects. You will work within the engineering team and partner with regional project teams to produce practical, safe, and technically sound project deliverables. This role helps strengthen delivery quality, consistency, and scalability across ERM’s remediation portfolio.

What your impact is?

Deliver accurate engineering calculations, drawings, specifications, cost estimates, and technical reports that support process remediation projects. Provide responsive construction-phase and field support that helps projects meet safety, quality, schedule, budget, and scope expectations. Support effective operation and troubleshooting of groundwater remediation, soil vapor extraction, sub-slab depressurization, and other remediation systems. Collaborate effectively with global project teams and external stakeholders while managing multiple concurrent assignments.

What you’ll bring:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering with a minimum 3.0 GPA. 2 - 4 years of relevant engineering, environmental consulting, design, and construction experience. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Experience using AutoCAD to prepare or support engineering design deliverables. Excellent written and verbal communication, organization, and analytical skills, with the ability to record detailed technical data and contribute to technical reports. Ability to manage multiple assignments concurrently, maintain flexibility, and deliver work within established quality, budget, schedule, and scope expectations. Ability to work independently with appropriate guidance and contribute effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team. Detail-oriented approach, mechanical aptitude, and hands‑on troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.

Preferred:

Engineer-in-Training certification. Environmental fieldwork experience. Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and ArcGIS. Experience recording technical field data and preparing technical reports. Exposure to global delivery, shared-service, or cross-regional project environments.

Key responsibilities:
  • Assist with engineering design for process remediation projects by evaluating data, performing calculations, conducting research, estimating quantities and costs, preparing design drawings, and developing technical specifications, contract documents, and design reports.
  • Support the construction phase of remediation projects through quality control and quality assurance review, and off-site technical support.
  • Conduct periodic remote monitoring, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting for groundwater remediation, soil vapor extraction, sub-slab depressurization, and other remediation systems.
  • Compile, validate, and evaluate technical data and assist with preparation of reports, memoranda, calculations, tables, figures, and other project deliverables.
  • Prepare environmental compliance plans, permits, and reports addressing air quality, hazardous waste, spill prevention, stormwater, erosion and sediment control, groundwater, and wastewater.
  • Communicate professionally with project team members, subcontractors, regulatory representatives, tenants, and clients during design, construction, and field activities.
  • Assist project teams in maintaining compliance with applicable federal, state, and local environmental regulations and project-specific requirements.
  • Complete assigned work in accordance with ERM quality procedures and project-specific expectations for scope, budget, and schedule.
