Job summary

Takeda's Innovation Capability Center in Bengaluru invites you to join as a Data Engineer. You will be a key player in transforming how data is used across the Global Manufacturing and Supply Organization, helping improve product quality and efficiency.

You will develop scalable data pipelines with AWS native technologies and Databricks, enable real-time analytics, participate in data modeling, and collaborate with analytics teams to drive data-driven decision making while following Takeda's QMS

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a technical/natural science field.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and Relational Databases.
• Experience with data modeling and modern database tech (Databricks, Oracle, MongoDB).
• Basic understanding of batch-based manufacturing processes.
• Understanding of Shop-Floor systems (MES, ERP, LIMS, Historian, etc.).
• Knowledge of Agile/SCRUM methodologies.
• Good engineering practices (DevSecOps, versioning, automated testing).
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to data engineering of IT systems to design and implement complex manufacturing data solutions.
• Enable data analytics (trending, modelling, real-time, predictive) for GMS sites.
• Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines using AWS native technologies and Databricks.
• Drive issue identification, problem-solving and escalation as needed.
• Ensure digital products and platforms are scalable and built with state-of-the-art technology.
• Provide guidance to business partners on complex changes and implementations.
• Follow Takeda QMS, SDLC and Project Life Cycle policies with documentation.
• Collaborate with analytics and business teams to improve data models for BI tools.

The Opportunity

As aData Engineer, you will be a keyplayer intransforming the way various teams work with data across all production sites of the Global Manufacturing and Supply Organization (GMS).

With this you will help to improve our product quality and reduce loss while increasingefficiency,which has a direct impact on our ability to serve our patients with vital products.

Responsibilities

• Contributeto the data engineeringof existing and new IT Systems to design,to analyzeand implement complex manufacturing data driven solutions, with an impact on the daily operation of our manufacturing processes and facilities.
• Enable data analytics (process trending, process modelling, real-time analytics, and predictive analytics) in aGxPenvironment from an IT perspective for all GMS sites
• Develop andmaintainscalable data pipelines using AWS native technologiesand Databricksto support increasing data sources, volumes, and complexity.
• Drive identification of technical issues, problem-solvingand escalating issues appropriately.
• Ensure Digital Products and Platforms are built efficiently, scalable and onstate-of-the-arttechnology.
• Provides guidance to business partners and solves complex technical changes and implementations.
• Follow company and departmental policies, procedures and ensure documentation according to the Takeda Quality Management Systems (QMS), Software Development LifeCycleand Project Life Cycle standards.
• Collaborate with analytics and business teams to improve data models that enhance business intelligence tools and dashboards, fostering data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Scienceor ina Technical/Natural Science (with focus on IT) or equivalent,
• In-Depth knowledge of SQL and Relational Databases,
• Strongexpertisein data modeling, and modern database technologies (Databricks, Oracle, MongoDB),
• Basic understanding of batch-based manufacturing processes,
• Understanding of Shop-Floor systems (MES, ERP, LIMS, Historian, etc.),
• Understanding of Agile/SCRUM methodologies,
• Understandingofgood engineering practices (DevSecOps, source-code versioning, automated testing, ...),
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams,
• Fluency in English.

Nice to Have

• 3+ years of experience in data engineering,or a related field,
• Experience withone more of the following analytics applications (BioviaDiscoverant, Simca Online, PAS-X Savvy, SiemensgPROMS),
• Experiencewithworking in a highly regulated industry (e.pharmaceutical -or chemical industry)
• Experience with AWS (S3, EC2, Terraform),
• Experience in Computer Systems Validation GAMP,
• Understanding ofData Science workflows, including Machine Learning and / or Deep Learning.
