Job summary

Omega Healthcare in Chennai is seeking a Process Coach for IP-DRG Medical Coding. Location: Perungudi, Chennai; Work From Office; General/Day shift; minimum 3 years IP-DRG coding experience.

You will train new joiners, monitor productivity and quality, provide coaching, educate on client specifications and updates, address errors, and support team leads in trainee readiness and timely confirmations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years hands-on IP-DRG Medical Coding experience.
• Strong knowledge of inpatient coding guidelines, DRG concepts, and quality requirements.
• Experience in training, mentoring, and coaching medical coders.
• Ability to analyze coding errors and drive improvements in quality and productivity.
• Medical Coding certification such as CPC, CCS, COC, or AHIMA credentials preferred.

Responsibilities

• Train new joiners on IP-DRG Medical Coding concepts, coding guidelines, and client-specific requirements.
• Monitor trainee productivity and quality as per the defined OJT and ramp-up targets.
• Provide structured feedback and continuous coaching to improve coding accuracy and productivity.
• Educate trainees on client specifications, coding guidelines, and the latest updates.
• Conduct one-on-one coaching sessions to address recurring errors and performance gaps.
• Communicate quality audit feedback effectively and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Track trainee performance and share regular feedback with Team Leads.
• Support Team Leads in evaluating trainee readiness and facilitating timely confirmation.
