Job summary

CipherSchools seeks passionate Problem Setter Interns to design engaging coding problems across DSA topics for our learning platform in Chandigarh. You will write tests, craft editorial solutions in C++/Java/Python, and review problems for quality.

PPO opportunities may arise based on performance; this is a 4-month, in-office internship. Open to CS students with strong fundamentals in DSA, arrays, strings, trees, and DP, plus proficiency in at least one of C++, Java, or Python.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of DSA concepts including arrays, strings, linked lists, trees, recursion, DP, graphs.
• Hands-on coding in C++, Java, or Python.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and ability to clearly explain technical concepts.
• Prior experience in competitive programming or DSA contests is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design original and engaging coding problems in Data Structures and Algorithms (easy, medium, and hard).
• Write clean test cases to validate correctness and edge cases.

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Design original and engaging coding problems in Data Structures and Algorithms (easy, medium, and hard).
2. Write clean test cases to validate correctness and edge cases.
3. Provide detailed editorial/solution explanations for each problem (in C++/Java/Python).
4. Review, debug, and test existing problems for quality assurance.

2. Hands-on coding experience in C++, Java, or Python.

5. Prior experience participating in competitive programming or DSA contests on platforms such as LeetCode, Codeforces, GeeksforGeeks, or HackerRank is a plus.
