Job summary

Emerson seeks a Sales Engineer - PRM EPC India to grow in a role combining deep technical expertise with global project exposure and meaningful customer engagement. You will support international pursuits by collaborating with India-based engineering centers and headquarters to align technically and win bids for safety relief valves and regulators.

You will review RFQs, provide training, size valves, ensure standards compliance, and collaborate across regions to deliver compelling

Qualifications

• Experience in technical sales or application engineering in industrial or energy-related environments.
• Strong understanding of pressure relief valves and regulators.
• Ability to interpret P&IDs and process datasheets and specs.
• Experience using sizing tools or software for valves and regulators.
• Willingness to travel within India to support customers.

Responsibilities

• Review RFQs, specs, datasheets and project requirements for compliant solutions.
• Provide technical training and product guidance to EPC and engineering teams.
• Size and select safety relief valves and regulators using standard tools.
• Ensure alignment with API, ASME, ISO and customer standards.
• Prepare technical proposals, datasheets and clarifications for bids.
• Support techno-commercial proposals with WA Pursuit Leader.
• Participate in clarification meetings and assist in commercial discussions.
• Coordinate with manufacturing and global teams on special deviations.
• Update CRM with pursuit progress and market intelligence.

Position Summary: If you are a Sales Engineer - PRM EPC and Headquarter Engineering Support India professional Iooking for an opportunity to grow your career, this role offers the chance to combine deep technical expertise with global project exposure and meaningful customer engagement. In this position, you will support international project pursuits by partnering closely with India-based engineering centers of global EPCs and headquarters organizations, enabling early technical alignment, strong solution positioning, and successful bid execution for safety relief valves and industrial and natural gas regulators. You will play a critical role in connecting engineering excellence with commercial outcomes while collaborating across regions and functions within Emerson's global matrix.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• Review and interpret RFQs, technical specifications, datasheets, and project requirements to ensure accurate and compliant solutions
• Provide technical training, application guidance, and product education to EPC and global engineering teams
• Perform sizing and selection of safety relief valves, industrial pressure regulators, and natural gas regulators using appropriate tools and standards
• Ensure alignment with applicable international and project-specific standards, including API, ASME, ISO, and customer requirements
• Prepare technical proposals, datasheets, deviation lists, clarifications, and supporting documentation for bids
• Support the development and submission of techno-commercial proposals in collaboration with the WA Pursuit Leader
• Participate in technical clarification meetings and support commercial discussions as required
• Coordinate with manufacturing, product engineering, and global teams to address special applications, deviations, and change requirements
• Collaborate with WA Project Pursuit Leaders to align on pursuit strategy, technical risk assessment, bid positioning, and competitor insights
• Maintain strong working relationships with engineers, procurement teams, discipline leads, and project stakeholders within EPCs and global company centers in India
• Drive early engagement during FEED and detailed engineering phases to influence specifications and solution selection
• Track project pipelines, provide structured CRM updates, and share market intelligence related to trends, specifications, and competitive landscape
• Support smooth handover from pursuit to execution through accurate documentation and timely communication

• Demonstrated capability in technical sales, application engineering, or project proposal support within industrial or energy-related environments
• Strong understanding of pressure relief and pressure regulation principles, including safety relief valves and pressure regulators
• Ability to interpret P&IDs, process datasheets, and complex engineering specifications
• Experience using sizing tools or software for valves and regulators
• Working knowledge of international engineering standards and global project requirements
• Comfort collaborating across regions, functions, and cultures within a global organization
• Willingness and ability to travel within India as required to support customer engagement

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

• Experience supporting EPC contractors or global accounts in oil and gas, LNG, refining, petrochemical, power, or related industries
• Exposure to international project execution models and centralized engineering environments
• Understanding of bid structures, commercial terms, and proposal management processes
• Experience using CRM or sales pipeline management tools
• Ability to provide technical training, seminars, or presentations to engineering audiences
