Key Responsibilities
- Champion the Chief Investment Office (CIO) as a central resource, providing investment insights and thought leadership on wealth management, global markets, and portfolio strategies.
- Lead the Private Market Due Diligence process from sourcing to evaluation, including investment research, value assessment, and ongoing monitoring of private market funds (Buyout, Venture Capital, Real Estate, Infrastructure, Private Credit).
- Analyze fund performance, prepare detailed investment memos and commentaries, and present findings to investment committees, advisors, and clients.
- Collaborate with the Investment Solutions Group (ISG) and other business lines to refine investment frameworks, tools, and services for goals‑based wealth management.
- Maintain effective governance and ongoing oversight of traditional and alternative investment strategies.
- Travel approximately 25% to meet fund managers and attend industry meetings.
Qualifications & Experience
- Master’s degree (preferred) with advanced designations such as CFA, CAIA, or CPA (preferred).
- Minimum 7+ years of investment experience focused on private market strategies (private credit, buyout, venture capital, real estate, infrastructure).
- Strong GP network and experience sourcing and evaluating high‑quality private funds.
- Proficient in financial modeling and valuation for private market investments.
- Experience with data platforms such as Thomson One, Preqin, and Cambridge.
- Series7 and 66 licenses or ability to obtain within 120 days of hire.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with strong presentation abilities.
- Analytical, detail‑oriented, and capable of synthesizing complex information.
- Comfortable engaging senior executives at private market firms.
- Team‑player who works collaboratively across ISG and business lines.
