Job summary

Oracle Bengaluru seeks a Principal Technical Account Manager to act as a trusted customer advocate and senior technical advisor. You will translate business requirements into integrated OCI solutions and guide customers through cloud adoption and implementation.

You will lead cross-functional teams through discovery, design, build, testing, deployment, and go-live, ensuring secure, scalable OCI architectures and successful outcomes for complex workloads.

Qualifications

• 11+ years in a customer-facing/consultative/technical role, with progressive responsibilities.
• 8–15 years IT industry experience, including 5+ years OCI experience.
• Hands-on OCI architecture, workload deployment, networking, security, and IAM.

Responsibilities

• Partner with customers to understand goals and translate them into technical and process solutions.
• Lead fit-gap assessments and roadmaps for cloud transition and optimization.
• Define and align technical vision for program solutions with stakeholders.
• Oversee end-to-end delivery across requirements, design, build, testing, deployment, and go-live.
• Design secure, scalable OCI architectures including networking, IAM, and infra frameworks.
• Guide deployment of customer workloads to OCI and advise on cloud-adoption models.
• Align customer solutions with Oracle product roadmaps and production needs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including analysts, QA, development, and partners.
• Communicate options, risks, progress, and recommendations clearly to stakeholders.
• Contribute to governance, customer satisfaction, service delivery, and leadership.

You will provide technical leadership across the full solution lifecycle—from discovery and design through build, testing, deployment, and go-live—while coordinating cross-functional teams to remove blockers and drive successful customer outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with customers to understand business goals, requirements, challenges, and desired outcomes, translating them into practical technical and process solutions.
• Lead fit-gap assessments of customer cloud environments and develop roadmaps for cloud transition, implementation, and optimization.
• Define and align the functional and technical vision for program solutions with customer and internal stakeholders.
• Lead and oversee end-to-end delivery across requirements intake, design, build, testing, deployment, and go-live.
• Design secure, scalable OCI architectures, including networking, security, identity and access management, and infrastructure frameworks.
• Guide deployment of customer workloads to OCI, support cloud-adoption models, and recommend actions to remove delivery blockers.
• Align customer solutions with Oracle product roadmaps, release cycles, business enhancements, and production break-fix requirements.
• Collaborate with portfolio management and cross-functional teams, including business analysts, integration specialists, quality assurance, development, support, services, and third-party partners.
• Communicate solution options, risks, progress, and recommendations clearly to technical and non-technical customer stakeholders.
• Contribute to strategic planning, program governance, customer satisfaction, service delivery, and cross-functional team leadership.

Qualifications & Skills

Mandatory

• 11 years of experience in a customer-facing, consultative, or technology-related role; or an equivalent combination of education and experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, computer information systems, computer science, or a related field plus 7 years of relevant experience.
  • Master’s degree in a related field plus 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Doctorate in a related field plus 3 years of relevant experience.
• 8–15 years of IT industry experience, including at least 5 years of demonstrated OCI experience.
• Hands‑on expertise with OCI, including cloud architecture, workload deployment, networking, security, and IAM.
• Strong Terraform experience for provisioning and managing OCI resources.
• Proficiency in Bash, Python, Shell, or similar scripting and programming languages.
• Experience deploying and managing containerised workloads on Kubernetes, ideally Oracle Kubernetes Engine.
• Experience building observability dashboards and alerts with Prometheus and Grafana.
• Demonstrated experience leading business analysis, business‑process design, and software delivery lifecycle activities.
• Proven ability to lead cross‑functional programs, coordinate stakeholders, manage resources, and deliver solutions on time and within budget.
• Strong client relationship, service delivery, incident response, account management, contract management, and compliance capabilities.
• Excellent analytical, written, verbal, presentation, and organizational skills.
• Ability to travel to customer and internal locations up to 25%.

Good-to-Have

• Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• OCI or other relevant cloud certifications.
• Experience with modern CI/CD and DevOps tools and practices.
• At least one full cloud implementation lifecycle.
• Experience supporting operating budgets or project financials.
• Deep familiarity with the CSS service portfolio across cloud and on–premises offerings.
• Additional experience in IT service management and account management.
