Job summary

RTX is seeking a Principal Specialist, Business Systems and Transformation to support BlackLine, the enterprise financial close platform. You will enhance capabilities, drive ERP integrations, and lead automation initiatives across Finance and Digital teams.

The role requires strong system design, configuration ownership, and disciplined release and production support, with UK hours expectation and collaboration across global stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field or equivalent practical experience of 6+ years.
• Deep knowledge of BlackLine SaaS solution technical administration, application management and user provisioning.
• Knowledge of integrations using SFTP, Apigee to Snowflake, PowerBI, SAP, etc.
• Experience with Windows Server, IIS, Windows SQL Server, Power BI, SSRS, and Microsoft Excel.
• JIRA, ServiceNow, Azure DevOps knowledgeable.
• Ability to document requirements, development plans and perform end-to-end testing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, translating finance requirements into scalable solutions.

About the Role

RTX has an opening for Principal Specialist, Business Systems and Transformation. We are seeking a skilled and experienced person to join our digital organization to support BlackLine, the enterprise financial close and accounting automation platform. This role will focus on supporting and enhancing the application’s capabilities to improve financial processes, support integrations with ERP systems, and drive automation opportunities. This pivotal role supports Corporate and Enterprise Services by enabling financial transformation and process optimization. Success requires close partnership across Digital and Finance, ownership of solution design and configuration, disciplined release and production support, and clear communication with technical teams, business stakeholders, and leaders. This position requires strong technical proficiency in systems and processes specifically aligned to Finance, Reporting, and system integrations with Middleware and ERP. The candidate should be willing to work UK hours.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience of 6+ years
• Deep knowledge of BlackLine SaaS solution technical administration, application management and user provisioning.
• Knowledge of the integrations between internal and external applications using SFTP, Apigee, to other systems such as Snowflake, PowerBI, SAP etc.
• Experience with Windows Server, IIS, and Windows SQL Server, Power BI, SSRS, and Microsoft Excel.
• JIRA, ServiceNow, Azure DevOps knowledgeable.
• Application deliverables, including technical requirements documentation, development/build, and end-to-end testing.
• Ability to assess client business requirements and document for development.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to translate finance requirements into scalable solutions and coordinate across business and technical stakeholders.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and AI use cases and bring Innovation.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Integration knowledge of Cloud orchestration, SAP S4 Hana, Snowflake, Apigee, Alteryx.
• Network and connectivity problem solving.
• Working knowledge of firewall and proxy server fundamentals.
• SSO and Azure B2B authentication; network, firewall, and proxy fundamentals; SOX-controlled environments; and Agile, Lean, or Six Sigma practices.
• Prior experience with global teams or shared service environment.

  This position is classified as: Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

  Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. Ratio of time working onsite will be determined in partnership with your leader.

  Requires advanced knowledge of work area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience. May have practical knowledge of project management. Practical to substantial knowledge of RTX projects, programs or systems with the ability to make enhancements and leverage in daily work. Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Typically requires a degree in Science,Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
