Job summary

Oracle Health Applications & Infrastructure is seeking a hands-on Principal Member of Technical Staff Engineer to design and build scalable, distributed systems for healthcare platforms and applications. You will own the SDLC from architecture through to production and mentor other engineers across geographies in a fast-moving, cloud-native environment.

You will work with Java, microservices, containers, and modern JS frameworks to deliver reliable services that support patients and providers.

Qualifications

• BS or MS degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
• 8+ years of developing and shipping cloud infrastructure services or SaaS applications.
• Strong system design fundamentals and distributed systems architecture best practices.
• Demonstrated ability to write great code in Java or similar OO languages.
• Experience with web application development using microservices frameworks such as Helidon, Dropwizard, Spring, etc.
• Experience with containers and container orchestration technologies (Kubernetes, Docker).
• Work with modern JavaScript libraries and frameworks such as React, Angular, and Bootstrap.
• Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts verbally and through design aspects.

Job Requirements:

• Excellent oral and written communications skills and experience interacting with both business and Development/Engineering staff at all levels including the executive level.
• Solid analytical, planning, and interpersonal skills with an ability to handle competing demands.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of business needs and ability to establish/maintain high level of customer trust and confidence.
• Solid practical understanding of software development process; expert knowledge of both Agile and traditional project management principles and practices and the ability to blend them together in the right proportions to fit a project and business environment.
• Strong skills to evaluate product performance metrics, as well as to diagnose and resolve issues.
• Experience in leading technical design discussions and ability to summarize complex trade-offs and options in presentation and technical documentation.
• Ability to effectively represent engineering perspectives to partner organizations, product teams, and executive leadership.
• Aptitude to work across and engage individuals and teams located across multiple geographies and or cultures.
• Balancing work as a lead individual contributor with providing direction and mentoring to others.

Minimum Qualifications:
