Job Summary

We are looking for a Principal Software Engineer at Operative!

Are you passionate about building scalable, high-performance systems and leading technical innovation? Operative is looking for a well‑rounded Principal Software Engineer with 8+ years of experience in architecture, design, and development to join our dynamic team.

MUST HAVE SKILLS

• Strong background in Java/J2EE, Microservices, and Spring/Spring Boot.
• Hands‑on experience with JavaScript/Angular, RESTful Web Services, and multi‑tier distributed web applications.
• Expertise in RDBMS (MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Elasticsearch).
• Familiarity with messaging systems like Kafka, JMS, or SQS.
• Solid understanding of TDD, Agile/Scrum methodologies, and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Ability to design and implement high‑concurrency, high‑performance applications.
• Experience leading small teams and driving technical excellence.

GOOD TO HAVE SKILLS

• Exposure to AWS, Serverless architectures, BDD, and Performance Testing.
• SaaS or online advertising technology experience.
