Job summary

Dataart Technologies is seeking an experienced QA Automation Lead with hands-on expertise in Playwright MCP and TypeScript. This role combines technical mastery with team leadership to guide automation strategy and drive high quality software delivery from Hyderabad office.

You will mentor QA/QE engineers, design scalable test frameworks, and collaborate with developers and product stakeholders to continuously improve quality across the delivery lifecycle.

Qualifications

Position overview

We are looking for an experienced QA Automation Lead with hands-on expertise in Playwright MCP and TypeScript, combined with a strong background in leading QA and QE teams. You will guide both technical and organizational aspects of quality engineering, helping the team adopt effective automation strategies and delivering high quality software.

This position is intended for Hyderabad-based candidates who are available to work from the office.

Responsibilities

• Lead the QE team and coordinate daily quality engineering activities
• Define and drive the test automation strategy using Playwright MCP and TypeScript
• Collaborate with developers and product stakeholders to ensure quality throughout the delivery lifecycle
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automated test frameworks and test suites
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to QA and QE engineers
• Participate in sprint planning, estimation, and delivery coordination
• Review test coverage, identify gaps, and propose improvements
• Support CI CD integration and implement quality gates in the delivery pipeline
• Promote best practices in testing, automation, and quality ownership
• Contribute to a collaborative and high-performing team environment

Requirements

• Strong hands-on TypeScript programming skills
• Solid understanding of TypeScript fundamentals, OOP, async/await, functions, classes, interfaces, and error handling
• Proven experience building or owning automation frameworks
• Experience with Playwright MCP
• Strong understanding of framework design, reusable components, test configuration, reporting, and CI/CD
• Ability to write code independently and clearly explain technical decisions
• Experience leading or mentoring QA or QE engineers
• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and QA processes
• Experience working in Agile environments with close collaboration with development teams
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
