Job summary

Arcana in Bengaluru seeks a Principal Product Manager (AI) to define the product vision for AI-powered portfolio intelligence solutions used by institutional investors. You will work with founders, AI researchers, engineers, and analysts to deliver industry-leading capabilities.

We require 8+ years in PM for complex B2B SaaS or data products, and hands-on knowledge of AI tech incl. LLMs, embeddings, and ML basics.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of PM experience in B2B SaaS, AI, or data products.
• Experience launching AI-powered products or ML platforms.
• Strong understanding of AI tech incl. LLMs, RAG, AI agents.
• IIT/IIM with 8.0+ GPA is mandatory.
• Hands-on with SQL, Python, APIs, and cloud tooling.

Responsibilities

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Principal Product Manager (AI) to join our team and work closely with our founders, AI researchers, engineers, financial analysts, and product managers. In this role, you'll define and drive the product vision for AI-powered portfolio intelligence solutions used by institutional investors. You will combine deep product expertise with a strong technical understanding of AI, machine learning, and modern data platforms to build innovative products that solve complex customer problems. You will own strategic product initiatives from concept to execution while partnering closely with Engineering and AI teams to deliver industry-leading capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the product strategy and roadmap for AI-powered products and platform capabilities.
• Partner closely with AI Engineers, ML Researchers, Product Engineers, and Data Engineers to build scalable AI solutions that deliver measurable customer value.
• Translate customer problems into product requirements, balancing business impact, technical feasibility, and user experience.
• Lead product discovery by working directly with institutional investment firms to understand workflows, pain points, and emerging AI use cases.
• Drive the end-to-end product lifecycle, from ideation, prioritization, execution, launch, and continuous iteration.
• Make data-driven product decisions using customer insights, experimentation, analytics, and market research.
• Define success metrics and monitor product performance to continuously improve adoption and business outcomes.
• Stay current with advancements in Generative AI, LLMs, AI agents, machine learning infrastructure, and enterprise AI products to identify new opportunities.
• Collaborate with executive leadership to shape long-term product strategy and influence company direction.
• Mentor product managers and contribute to establishing best practices across the product organization.

Requirements

• 8+ years of Product Management experience building complex B2B SaaS, AI, developer, or data products.
• Proven experience launching AI-powered products, machine learning platforms, or intelligent workflow applications.
• Strong understanding of modern AI technologies, including Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), AI agents, embeddings, vector databases, and machine learning fundamentals.
• Deep technical understanding with the ability to work effectively with engineering and AI teams on system architecture, APIs, data pipelines, and model capabilities.
• Strong product sense with a track record of defining product strategy, prioritization, and execution for highly technical products.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and customer discovery skills.
• Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence technical and executive audiences.
• Education from IIT or IIM with an 8.0+ GPA (mandatory). MBA or advanced degree in Computer Science, AI, Engineering, or a related field is a plus.
• Hands-on familiarity with SQL, Python, APIs, cloud platforms, and modern AI tooling is highly desirable.
