Job summary

OpenText, a global leader in information management, is seeking a Principal Product Manager in Bengaluru to lead long-term strategy and a major offering within the Content Management portfolio. You will translate customer and market insights into strategic product investments and drive AI-led innovation across cloud, modernization, and enterprise content workflows.

Qualifications

• 12–15 years of professional experience in enterprise software product management.
• Ownership of strategy and roadmap for a significant enterprise product or offering.
• Experience across the complete product lifecycle from strategy to go-to-market.
• Strong knowledge of Enterprise Content Management, Content Services, Information Management, or related domains.
• Strong understanding of modern cloud/SaaS architecture and AI/Generative AI technologies.

Your Impact

As a Principal Product Manager, you will provide strategic product leadership for key capabilities within the OpenText Content Management portfolio. You will define and own long-term product strategy and roadmap, translate customer, market and competitive insights into product investments, and drive innovation from concept through roadmap and delivery.
You will combine deep product and domain expertise with customer orientation and technical understanding to advance cloud adoption, AI-led innovation, application modernization, and the evolution of enterprise content management. Working across Engineering, Sales, Services, Support, Marketing and strategic customers, you will drive alignment from product strategy and requirements through release readiness, market introduction and customer adoption.

What The Role Offers

• Roadmap & Strategy Be recognized as an internal product and domain expert, demonstrating breadth and depth of expertise across enterprise content management and
• Information Management.
• Define and own the long-term roadmap for a product or major offering.
• Drive roadmap definition, investment priorities and approval of new functionality.
• Evaluate, prioritize and gain alignment for strategic customer-driven requirements.
• Balance innovation, customer needs, market opportunity, technical investments and product lifecycle requirements. Innovation
• Conceptualize new products, capabilities and solutions and help establish their go-to-market strategy.
• Drive ground-up innovation from idea and validation through business justification and roadmap inclusion.
• Identify opportunities around AI/Generative AI, cloud, SaaS, automation and intelligent content management. Incorporate customer insights, market trends and competitive analysis into product strategy and requirements. Delivery
• Own product requirements and backlog, ensuring readiness, clarity and prioritization.
• Lead product aspects of release planning and partner continuously with Engineering throughout development.
• Participate in architecture and technology reviews to ensure alignment with product strategy and customer requirements.
  

What You Need To Succeed

• 12–15 years of professional experience, with significant experience in enterprise software product management.
• Demonstrated ownership of strategy and roadmap for a significant enterprise product or offering.
• Experience across the complete product lifecycle, including strategy, requirements, development engagement, releases and go-to-market.
• Strong knowledge of Enterprise Content Management, Content Services, Information Management, or adjacent enterprise software domains.
• Strong understanding of modern cloud/SaaS architecture and AI/Generative AI technologies.
• Demonstrated ability to use customer insights, data, market research and competitive analysis to make product investment decisions.
• Strong technical aptitude with the ability to engage effectively with Architecture and Engineering organizations.
• Experience engaging senior enterprise customers and evaluating complex requirements and RFPs.
• Ability to lead complex cross-functional initiatives and influence decisions.
• Excellent customer, executive, written and verbal communication skills.
