Job summary

WSP in India is seeking a Senior/Principal Engineer to provide technical leadership for large water treatment and water network projects. You will guide a project team, liaise with clients, and ensure high-quality delivery.

The role involves mentoring staff, developing health and safety plans, contributing to proposals, and supporting business development. Occasional travel to offices and project sites is expected. Experience in wastewater is welcomed and offshore resourcing experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Leading technical design delivery and providing technical guidance to the project team.
• Client liaison and report preparation.
• Assist in the preparation of proposals within current frameworks and the development of additional clients.
• Lead on Stakeholder engagement and identify and support in securing potential business development opportunities.
• Training and mentoring of staff, especially more junior staff.
• Develop and maintain project related health and safety strategies, including risk assessments; and
• Operate in accordance with the corporate health and safety, environment and quality standards and ensure the project team comply with such standards.
• Contribute to task and resource requirements across the wider team and ensure delivery.
• Working with, and providing support to, our project management team;
• Potential for line management responsibilities, supporting recruitment activities;
• Raise the profile of the company through attendance and presentations at technical and commercial conferences, preparation of papers and press releases; and Work may require travel to the offices and project sites.
• Coordinate offshore resourcing for project delivery.

As a Senior/Principal Engineer, you'll provide technical leadership and guidance to a team in the delivery of large / complex, water treatment and water network projects, ensuring accurate and efficient project delivery for internal and external clients. Wastewater experience will also be considered.

The role will enable you to further develop and use your technical skills, applying your expertise to help us continue driving forward in terms of both technical quality and service efficiency.
