Principal Java Engineer (Apache Ecosystem) at BairesDev. We are seeking a Principal Java Engineer with deep expertise in Apache project contribution, open source development, distributed systems, and performance optimization in big data contexts. The technology stack includes popular open source Apache projects - Iceberg, Kafka, Spark, Hive, Ozone, Hadoop, Trino, and related ecosystem tools. This role goes beyond development: the ideal candidate will set the technical direction, drive architectural decisions, and influence both internal engineering practices and the broader Apache open source community. You will partner with senior leadership to define long-term strategy while ensuring delivery of innovative, high-performance distributed solutions.
