Principal Apache Hive Engineer at BairesDev. We are seeking a Principal Apache Hive Engineer to work on data warehouse systems and large-scale batch analytics. You'll contribute to Apache Hive and related ecosystem projects (Spark, Iceberg, Hadoop), focusing on performance optimization and scalable architecture.

Responsibilities

• Contribute actively to Apache Hive and related open source projects as a core contributor.
• Develop and optimize data warehouse solutions for large-scale analytical workloads.
• Enhance HiveQL query optimization and metastore architecture for better performance.
• Improve Hive integration with HDFS, Spark, and table formats like Iceberg.
• Collaborate with engineering teams on system integration and deployment.
