Job summary

Smith+Nephew in Pune (Hybrid) is seeking a Principal IT Security IAM Developer to lead IAM design, implementation and governance. You will manage engagements, roadmap development, and incident responses while collaborating with cross‑functional teams across security, IT and R&D.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in IT security/IAM, SailPoint IdentityIQ expertise, SSO/MFA experience, and strong communication skills to influence stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of proven experience in IT information security/IAM.
• Experience with installation, integration, and deployment of SailPoint IdentityIQ, BeanShell, Java.
• Knowledge of SSO, Identity Federation, and MFA.
• Experience with vulnerability management and risk assessment.

Responsibilities

• Engagement planning, directing, and designing and implementing IAM solutions.
• Lead day-to-day project activities for IAM initiatives and roadmaps.
• Assist leadership in crafting proposals, budgets, and work plans.
• On Call for IAM incidents as needed.

Role: Principal IT Security IAM Developer

Location: Pune (Hybrid)

Identity & Access Management (IAM) work is responsible for how users within Smith & Nephew are given an identity—and how it is protected, including saving critical applications, data and systems from unauthorized access while handling the identities and access rights of people both inside and outside the organization. The Identity and Access Management unit responsible for provisioning support includes ticket management, customer service, and knowledge of least privilege methodology with security rights, permissions and groups, experience with Active Directory. Due to the importance of this position, it is encouraged that a person supporting IAM has basic solve skills with networking and computer systems, can multitask, work in a fast-paced environment while providing excellent customer service.

What will you be doing?

• Engagement planning, directing, and designing and implementing IAM solutions
• Advanced understanding of business processes, internal control risk management, IT controls and related standards.
• Assist leadership in crafting proposals, budgets, and work plans.
• Lead day-to-day project activities for performing assessments, developing strategies and roadmaps, implementing IAM solution
• Responsible for assisting Service Delivery in delivering IT services to R&D throughout the service lifecycle within agreed service levels. This includes some experience with PLM Systems, CAD tools and Regulatory Applications. Specifically, our enterprise applications include PTC Windchill, SolidWorks, Siemens NX, Agile PLM, Cockpit, PTC Creo and Jira.
• On Call for IAM Incidents as needed.

What will you need to be successful?

• Education: Bachelor's / Master's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, IT Security or related subject preferred.
• Licenses/ Certifications: Current CIAM, CIMP, CIST, CIPA, CIGE or equivalent certification preferred.
• SailPoint certification is an advantage.
• Experience: At least 7 years of proven experience in IT information security/IAM.
• 7+ years of experience in developing, implementing IAM solutions.
• 5+ years of experience with installation, integration, and deployment of SailPoint Identity IQ, Bean Shell, Java.
• Optional - OKTA workflows and OKTA integration.
• 5+ years: Single Sign-On, Identity Federation, and Multi-Factor Authentication.
• 5+ years identity Governance and Administration, User Provisioning, Access Certification, Identity Analytics, Role-Based Access Control.
• 5+ years: Privileged Access Management.
• 5+ years: of experience leading projects through the full development lifecycle.
• 5+ years: Experience in project management and the ability to communicate security technology issues verbally on both a formal and informal basis.
• Experience with vulnerability management and risk assessment.
• Knowledge of cyber security standard frameworks such as ISO and NIST.
• Experience with different cloud computing platforms and cloud security framework. Experience in being able to lead and prioritize numerous tasks in an effective manner.
• Ability to work independently without daily direction. Good communication & organizational skills, ability to multi-task, good attention to details, excellent problem solving, and follow-up skills required.
