Job description

Job Overview

Oversees the monitoring and analysis of network, endpoint, and database telemetry from tools including Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), IDS/IPS, firewalls, Active Directory, Windows event logs, and vulnerability management tools.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the SOC manager to escalated security issues to other business units such as solutions development, customer hosting, and corporate IT.
• Work independently with security log tools and SIEM solutions to create correlation rules to improve detection.
• Maintain heightened awareness of current security vulnerabilities, attacks, and mitigation techniques and communicate findings to management.
• Identify high‑fidelity security vulnerabilities.
• Consult with development and operational teams on applying security best practices and advanced security technologies.
• Assist operational teams in tuning security solutions to ensure integrity.
• Perform detailed security reviews to ensure secure implementation of design components.
• Participate in defining and documenting security standards and best practices.
• Review and triage security tickets of junior engineers and events from multiple solutions.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of experience.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills.
• Expert knowledge of Linux, Windows, and network forensic evidence concepts.
• Expert knowledge of security concerns facing large enterprises.
• Expert knowledge of security engineering, operations, and design best practices.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
• Strong ability to collect and analyze complex data.

Certifications

• CISSP, CompTIA Security+ or CySA+, GIAC GCIH or GCIA.
• Product vendor‑specific security technology certificates.
