Job Description

Oversees the monitoring and analysis of network, endpoint, and database telemetry from tools such as Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), IDS/IPS, firewalls, Active Directory, Windows Event Logs, and vulnerability management tools.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the SOC manager to elevate security issues to other business units including solutions, development, customer hosting, and Corporate IT.
• Independently work with security log tools and SIEM solutions to create correlation rules to improve detection.
• Maintain heightened awareness of current security vulnerabilities, attacks, and mitigation techniques, and proactively communicate findings to management relevant to the environment.
• Identify high-fidelity security vulnerabilities independently.
• Provide consultation to development and operational teams in the appropriate application of security best practices and use of advanced security technologies.
• Help operational teams tune security solutions and ensure their integrity.
• Perform detailed security reviews to ensure secure implementation of design components.
• Participate in the definition and documentation of security standards and best practices.
• Review and triage security tickets from junior engineers and events from multiple solutions.

Qualifications

5-10 years of experience required.
