Job summary

Honeywell is seeking a Principal Business Systems Analyst in Bengaluru on a Hybrid schedule. You will lead analysis, design, and implementation of SAP S/4 based project solutions for capital projects, collaborating with cross‑functional teams across PM, Engineering, Finance, and Supply Chain.

You will translate requirements into scalable SAP configurations, drive end‑to‑end project lifecycle from setup to revenue recognition, and ensure cost control and financial visibility.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of IT analysis experience focused on Capital Projects, Project Execution, or ERP solutions.
• Hands-on experience with SAP S/4 Project Systems (PS) or equivalent project execution functionality.
• Experience supporting revenue recognition and financial integration for long‑cycle or complex customer projects.
• Proven experience delivering or supporting ERP implementations, enhancements, or transformations in a project‑based business environment.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, design, and support SAP S/4 solutions for execution of customer Capital Projects, from project initiation through closeout.
• Partner with Project Management, Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain, and Customer teams to gather, validate, and document project execution requirements.
• Translate business requirements into scalable, standardized SAP solutions aligned with the Global Design Model (GDM).
• Support project structuring and execution processes in SAP, including project definitions, milestones, and cost tracking.

You will report directly to our Sr Director IT and you’ll work out of our Bengaluru, Karnataka location on a Hybrid work schedule.

Your strong analytical and problem-solving skills will enable you to effectively analyze business requirements and design solutions that meet the needs of stakeholders.

Principle IT Analyst – Projects Business Model

Process Technology (PT) is a Strategic Business Group at Honeywell focused on delivering technology‑driven solutions that enable customers to improve energy efficiency, sustainability, and operational performance in process‑intensive industries. The business provides advanced process technologies, digital solutions, and domain expertise to help customers optimize energy usage, reduce emissions, and support sustainable operations across industrial and energy markets.

As a Principle IT Analyst – Projects Business Model in PT, you will ensure that our SAP S/4 project execution solutions effectively support the delivery of complex, customer‑facing capital projects. You will work closely with Project Management, Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain, and Customer teams to understand execution requirements and translate them into scalable, compliant SAP S/4 solutions.

You will report directly to our Sr Director, IT ERP Business Transformation, and work out of our Bengaluru, India or Pune, India location on a Hybrid schedule.

In this role, you will play a pivotal part in driving the organization's technology strategies and projects, aligning them with business objectives. This role is critical to enabling end‑to‑end project execution, from project setup through delivery, billing, revenue recognition, and closeout. You will ensure accurate cost control, financial visibility, and integration across the full project lifecycle while aligning solutions to Honeywell’s Global Design Model (GDM). Your technical leadership will ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of our IT systems, ultimately enhancing our competitive edge and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze, design, and support SAP S/4 solutions for execution of customer Capital Projects, from project initiation through closeout.

Partner with Project Management, Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain, and Customer teams to gather, validate, and document project execution requirements.

Translate business requirements into scalable, standardized SAP solutions aligned with the Global Design Model (GDM).

Support Project Structuring And Execution Processes In SAP, Including

• Project definitions and WBS structures
• Milestones, progress tracking, and project status reporting
• Enable end‑to‑end integration across project execution flows, including Sales, Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing, Installation, and Service.
• Ensure accurate cost collection, capitalization, billing, and revenue recognition throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support project billing scenarios, including milestone‑based, percentage‑of‑completion, and final billing.
• Design and support interfaces and integrations between SAP and external project, engineering, or execution systems as required.
• Collaborate with Centers of Excellence (COEs) to validate future‑state project operating models, controls, and security roles.
• Support project master data readiness, including project templates, cost structures, settlement rules, and financial profiles.
• Prepare and execute end‑to‑end capital project test scenarios, supporting UAT, BOAT, deployment, and hypercare.
• Identify project execution risks and dependencies; support go‑live stabilization and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE

• 7+ years of IT analysis experience with a focus on Capital Projects, Project Execution, or Project‑centric ERP solutions.
• Hands‑on experience with SAP S/4 Project Systems (PS) or equivalent project execution functionality.
• Experience supporting revenue recognition and financial integration for long‑cycle or complex customer projects.
• Proven experience delivering or supporting ERP implementations, enhancements, or transformations in a project‑based business environment.
