Job summary

Franklin Templeton is seeking a senior Security Operations professional to lead complex investigations and threat hunts in a dynamic, global financial services environment.

You will guide incident response, develop detection logic, and refine SIEM and SOAR playbooks to strengthen cyber resilience across endpoints, networks, cloud, and identities.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
  • 8-10 years of hands-on experience in Security Operations or related cybersecurity functions.
  • Experience in incident response, threat hunting, detection engineering, and security monitoring.
  • Advanced experience with SIEM, SOAR, and EDR/XDR platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Lead complex security incident investigations and response activities.
  • Guide incident management throughout the response lifecycle.
  • Analyse threats across endpoints, networks, cloud, identity, email, and applications.
  • Identify threat scope, business impact, and root causes.
  • Conduct proactive threat hunting using intelligence and behavioural analytics.
  • Enhance detection strategies, monitoring use cases, and alert quality.
  • Improve SIEM and detection controls.
  • Identify operational gaps and drive security improvements.
  • Perform root cause analysis and document investigation outcomes.
  • Develop playbooks, procedures, and investigation standards.
  • Collaborate with technology teams to strengthen cyber resilience.
  • Evaluate emerging threats and improve detection capabilities.
  • Mentor analysts and promote operational excellence.

_ About the Department: _

The Security Operations Centre (SOC) protects and strengthens the organization’s cybersecurity posture through continuous monitoring, threat detection, incident response, and security improvement initiatives. The team works closely with Security Engineering, Infrastructure, Cloud, Identity, Application, and other technology groups to identify risks, respond to threats, and enhance cyber resilience. By combining threat intelligence, advanced security tools, operational expertise, and collaboration, the department continuously improves detection capabilities, response effectiveness, and overall security maturity.

_ What Will Help You Be Successful in This Role? _

_ Experience, Education & Certifications: _

  • Degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.

  • 8-10 years of hands-on experience in Security Operations or related cybersecurity functions.

  • Experience in incident response, threat hunting, detection engineering, and security monitoring.

  • Advanced experience with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), Security Orchestration, Automation and Response (SOAR), and Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR)/Extended Detection and Response (XDR) platforms.

_ Technical Skills: _

  • Strong knowledge of security operations and incident response practices.

  • Expertise in networking, operating systems, identity, endpoint, and cloud security.

  • Experience designing detection rules, correlation logic, and monitoring capabilities.

  • Strong understanding of MITRE ATT&CK and threat intelligence methodologies.

  • Familiarity with National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and Centre for Internet Security (CIS) frameworks.

  • Experience with security analytics and automation technologies.

Work Shift Timings - 2:00 PM - 11:00 PM IST
