Job summary

Franklin Templeton Investments seeks a senior leader to drive enterprise architecture and engineering for cloud-native platforms. You will design and deliver AI-enabled, scalable solutions, working with cross-functional teams to align technology strategy with business outcomes.

The role emphasizes leadership of engineering teams, DevSecOps practices, and modern data platforms on AWS, with a focus on scalable, secure solutions across the enterprise.

Qualifications

• 13+ years of software engineering and solution architecture experience.
• Experience delivering large-scale enterprise platforms into production.
• Proven leadership of high-performing engineering teams.
• Experience delivering production-grade Generative AI solutions.
• AWS Solutions Architect certification or equivalent preferred.

About the department: The Enterprise Data Platforms team designs and delivers secure, scalable, cloud‑native technology solutions that support critical business capabilities. The team brings together software engineers, architects, data specialists, and technology leaders who collaborate to build modern enterprise applications, reusable technology platforms, and artificial intelligence‑enabled solutions. Working in this team provides opportunities to lead large‑scale modernization initiatives, drive innovation, influence enterprise technology strategy, and work with emerging artificial intelligence technologies in a high‑impact environment.

How you will add value?

You will lead enterprise application architecture and engineering initiatives. You will drive an AI‑first approach across solutions and processes. You will design Large Language Model and Agentic AI solutions. You will build intelligent automation and knowledge‑driven applications. You will architect cloud‑native solutions on Amazon Web Services. You will create reusable platforms, frameworks, and application programming interfaces. You will modernize solutions using microservices and event‑driven designs. You will advance DevSecOps, automation, and Infrastructure as Code practices. You will establish architecture standards for security and scalability. You will mentor engineers and develop technical leaders. You will partner with cross‑functional teams to deliver business outcomes. You will communicate technology strategy to diverse stakeholders.

What will help you be successful in this role?

Experience, Education & Certifications

• 13+ years of software engineering and solution architecture experience.
• Experience delivering large-scale enterprise platforms into production.
• Proven leadership of high‑performing engineering teams.
• Experience delivering production‑grade Generative AI solutions.
• Amazon Web Services Solutions Architect certification or equivalent preferred.
• Experience with financial services or regulated industries preferred.

Technical Skills

• Enterprise and end-to-end solution architecture.
• Cloud-native and distributed application design.
• Microservices and event‑driven architectures.
• Amazon Web Services cloud services and platform engineering.
• Containers, Infrastructure as Code, and DevSecOps practices.
• Python, Java, and Spring Boot development.
• REST APIs, GraphQL, gRPC, SQL, NoSQL, and enterprise data platforms.
• Front‑end architecture using Angular, React.js, TypeScript
