Job summary

Cleo is seeking a Principal Implementation Engineer to join our Professional Services team in Bengaluru to design and deliver EDI/B2B integrations, mappings, and API connections for enterprise customers. The role requires leading integration patterns and ensuring reliable go-lives across multiple projects.

You will implement AS2, SFTP and REST API solutions, optimize SQL queries, and collaborate with partners and internal teams to deliver scalable, robust data integration for diverse clients.

Qualifications

• Experience with EDI/B2B integration products and mapping.
• Strong knowledge of AS2, SFTP, HTTPs and related protocols.
• Proficiency in XML, flat files and spreadsheets for data interchange.
• Experience with API integration and REST services.
• Good understanding of ANSI X12 and EDIFACT standards.
• Ability to design integration patterns and solution architecture.

Responsibilities

• Understand customer requirements and translate into integration solutions.
• Develop EDI maps and business processes to support client needs.
• Configure communication setups with trading partners (AS2, SFTP).
• Create unit tests, perform testing, and assist with system integration testing.
• Lead performance testing for high-volume customers and optimize integrations.
• Prepare go-live and warranty support plans; hand off to support.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure highest level of customer satisfaction.

The Position

Cleo is looking for a Principal Implementation Engineer to join our Professional Services team to provide implementation and consulting services to our customers. Ideal candidates must possess strong knowledge on working with EDI/B2B integration products, EDI mapping, business process orchestration and communication protocols like AS2, SFTP etc., API integration, designing integration patterns and solution architecture.

What You Will Be Doing

• Work with customers to understand the business requirements.
• Develop EDI maps and business processes.
• Create communication setups with trading partners for AS2, SFTP.
• Create Unit test plan and perform unit testing.
• Assist with System Integration testing and User Acceptance testing and resolve issues.
• Conduct performance testing for high volume customers and fine tune integrations to achieve desired performance.
• Create support documentation and transition the project to support.
• Create go-live plan and warranty support plan.
• Work effectively with other internal departments to ensure the highest level of support for customers.
• Exhibit a sense of ownership of customer systems and work on issues until completely resolved
• Handle multiple projects simultaneously within established time constraints

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience with any of the EDI integration products.
• Good understanding of ANSI X12 and EDIFACT standards.
• Experience with XML, Flat Files and Spreadsheets
• Experience with transfer protocols such AS2, FTP/s, SFTP, HTTP/s
• Experience working with REST API.
• Good understanding of SQL queries and joins.
• Good understanding of performance tuning.
• Team player with good written and verbal Communication skills
