Job summary

YASH Technologies in Bengaluru seeks a Principal Engineer – EDI Lead to act as the SME for EDI, driving platform efficiency and strategic improvements across the OpenText EDI ecosystem.

The role requires guiding architectural decisions, mentoring engineers, and coordinating with eProcurement and IT teams to enable scalable onboarding and timely implementations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; advanced degree a plus.
• 8+ years of experience in EDI, B2B integration, or related technical leadership roles.
• Deep expertise in EDI standards (X12/EDIFACT) and enterprise EDI platforms (OpenText, SEEBURGER, TradeCentric, Pagero, or similar).
• Proven track record of driving process and technical improvements at scale.
• Strong leadership, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Experience working with enterprise IT and vendor management.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the EDI subject matter expert, providing technical guidance to engineering and eProcurement business teams.
• Drive efficiency improvements across EDI onboarding, integration, and support processes.
• Lead design and architecture decisions for EDI solutions on the OpenText platform.
• Implement punchout functionality for eproc business.
• Identify and implement strategic enhancements to scale onboarding and reduce implementation time.
• Provide technical oversight and review for complex customer implementations.
• Establish best practices, standards, and documentation for the EDI function.
• Act as a key technical liaison with OpenText and other EDI vendors.
• Mentor and upskill engineers across the team.
