About the Role

We are seeking a Principal Full-Stack Developerto lead the design and development of scalable, secure, and cloud-native software solutions.

The primary focus of this role is full-stack software development and architecture, with strong hands-on experience across backend and frontend technologies. The ideal candidate will also have practical knowledge of cloud infrastructureand databaseservices(Azure, AWS, or OCI) and modern software delivery practices.

DevOpsis a secondary responsibility. The candidate should understand how CI/CD pipelines, how to build automation, deployments, monitoring, and release processes work, but this is not primarily an infrastructure administration role.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture and development of full-stack applications.
• Design scalable backend services, APIs, microservices, and distributed systems. Programming languages used may vary, though typically it is C#, Java, Python, or Node.
• Build responsive and maintainable frontend applications. Technologies may vary, but React and Angular are commonly used by our clients as well as frameworks like Twitter Bootstrap, Material Design, or Tailwind.
• Experience using AI Coding agents effectively is a plus, though we can also train you on the job to usethese tools effectively (configuring AGENTS.md, skills, plan versus build modes, etc)
• Make architectural decisions covering performance, security, scalability, and maintainability.
• Develop and integrate applications using Azure, OCI, or AWSservices.
• Design database schemas and data-access strategies using SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Review code and establish engineering standards across projects.
• Guide teams in software architecture, design patterns, testing, and delivery practices.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, cloud, security, and operations teams. Strong communication skills and ability to learn a customer’s business domain is a must.
• Troubleshoot complex application, integration, performance, and production issues.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipeline design and deployment automation. Technologies can include simple bash scripting, kubernetes/containerization, Ansible, or terraform, though we do not expect you to be an expert in all of these.
• Understand and improve build, release, rollback, and environment-promotion processes.
• Support observability through logging, monitoring, alerting, and application diagnostics.
• Mentor senior andjunior engineers.
• Adapt quickly across different client domains, technology stacks, and project requirements.

Required Skills and Experience

• 9 + years of professional experience in software development, architecture, or related engineering roles.
• Strong hands-on experience developing full-stack applications.
• Professional experience with at least one backend technology, such as:
  • .NET/C# (preferred)
  • Python (preferred)
  • Java (nice to have)
  • Node.js (nice to have)
• Strong frontend experience with one or more modern frameworks:
  • React (preferred)
  • React Native (preferred)
  • Angular (nice to have)
  • Vue.js (nice to have)
• Proven experience designing REST APIs, microservices, integrations, and distributed systems.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases such as SQL Server, Oracle DB, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
• Familiarity with NoSQL databasesis beneficial.
• Hands‑on application development experience with Microsoft Azure, OCI, or AWS.
• Understanding of cloud services such as compute, storage, databases, messaging, serverless, identity, networking, and monitoring.
• Strong knowledge of software architecture principles, design patterns, clean code, and testing.
• Experience with Git-based development workflows and code reviews.
• Understanding of CI/CD concepts, including:
  • Build and release pipelines
  • Automated testing
  • Artifact management
  • Environment‑specific configuration
  • Deployment approvals
  • Rollbacks
• Working knowledge of Docker and containerized application deployment.
• Strong problem‑solving and communication skills.

DevOps and Cloud Knowledge

• Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar tools.
• YAML or Classic CI/CD pipelines.
• Infrastructure and application deployment workflows.
• Docker and basic Kubernetes concepts is beneficial.
• Environment management across development, QA, staging, and production.
• Application logging, monitoring, and alerting.
• Basic Terraform or Ansible knowledgeis preferred.
• Security practices for cloud-hostedapplications.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience as a technical lead, software architect, or principal engineer.
• Experience modernizing legacy applications and migrating workloads to Azure, OCI, or AWS.
• Experience with event-driven architectures and messaging platforms.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes and cloud-native application patterns.
• Experience with API gateways, authentication, authorization, OAuth2, and OpenID Connect.
• Familiarity with Redis, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, or other NoSQL technologies.
• Experience with observability tools such as Application Insights, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or Datadog.
• Experience working with AI-assisted development or integrating AI services into business applications.
• Consulting experience across multiple clients and technology stacks.
