Job summary

Workday’s APAC Financials team delivers engaging consulting services to help customers, partners, and employees maximize the Workday financial system. As a Principal Functional Consultant, you will ensure successful implementation, configure solutions to meet business requirements, and test configurations to demonstrate value.

You will collaborate with India GTM and client teams, becoming an expert in Workday Financial Management and mentoring new consultants while guiding data conversions,

Qualifications

• 15+ years of functional experience in Financials software solutions or systems.
• 12+ years Consulting experience.
• 8+ years experience implementing Workday, SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft, Ultimate Software, ADP, Ceridian or similar applications.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with India GTM teams - Services Sales Executive, Account Executives, Sales Directors in building a vision and value realization journey for Financial Transformation leveraging Workday Financials capability.
• Work closely with the customer's project team to design, configure and deploy their functional requirements.
• Lead and drive collaboration with extended Financial capabilities in Workday Hub teams as well as across APAC.
• Become an expert in the Workday Financial Management product suite.
• Perform the following on an engagement: understand client business requirements, configure the Workday solution, demonstrate the configurations through the development of prototype systems, assist the client in testing the Workday solution.
• Work with the client to help convert legacy data into Workday.
• Assist the integration consulting team to configure and test integrations between Workday and third party/custom solutions.
• Understand Workday’s Implementation Methodology and use it on all engagements.
• Help mentor new consultants
• Ensure the client takes advantage of Workday best practices
• Ensure the client is referenceable once the client is in production
• Completing and maintaining product expertise and Workday Certification(s) along with familiarity with Workday roadmap.
• Provide the Engagement Manager with status reports and keep them apprised of overall project status

About the Role

As a Principal Functional Consultant, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful implementation of Workday's product solutions. You will provide your implementation expertise to our clients while understanding how to best configure and test Workday solutions to meet their business requirements.

About You

Basic Qualifications

• 15+ years of functional experience in Financials software solutions or systems
• 12+ years Consulting experience
• Functional expertise in at least one of the following areas: General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Billing, Procurement, Asset Management, Projects, Expense Management, Financial Reporting, or Budgeting

Other Qualifications

• 8+ years experience implementing Workday, SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft, Ultimate Software, ADP, Ceridian or similar applications
• Passion for customer service
• Validated project management experience
• Functional experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Business analysis and requirements gathering abilities.
• Ability to learn technology quickly through instruction and self-training.
• Experience deploying multiple projects simultaneously a plus
